EXAMPLE OF PROGRAMING PROCEDURE

This chapter describes the procedure for creating interactive programs and executing an animated simulation for beginners of LUCK-BEI (NT Manual Guide i) software operation with examples of simple workpieces. First, carry out a series of operations of the following examples. The rules on the brackets described in this chapter are as follows: Soft-key MDI key Tab Screen Selection of cursor/mode

NT MANUAL GUIDE PARAMETERS

Parameters Used for NT manual Guide
In NT Manual Guide i, the standard parameter range: parameter number P7295 7299 of NC unit is used. Concerning to above mentioned range of parameters, the contents that are described in this manual is prior to the contents that are described in the manual of FANUC NC unit.

NOTE: Some of the NT Manual Guideparameters become valid only after the power is switched off and on again. Therefore, for the sake of safety, after changing the settings of parameters, switch off the power once. NOTE: Some NT Manual Guide i parameters serve multiple functions. Setting values for them are expressed as shown blow: 1, 2, 4, 8 ... <Example> 0: Function A invalid 1: Function A valid 0: Function B invalid 2: Function B valid 0: Function C invalid 4:Ffunction C valid 0: Function D invalid 8: Function D valid Setting value=0 Setting value=1 Setting value=2 Setting value=3 Setting value=4 Setting value=5 Setting value=6 Setting value=7 Setting value=8 Setting value=9 Setting value=10 All the functions are invalid Only function A is valid Only function B is valid Functions A and B are valid (1+2=3) Only function C is valid Functions A and C are valid (1+4=5) Functions B and C are valid (2+4=6) Functions A, B and C are valid (1+2+4=7) Only function D is valid Functions A and D are valid (1+8=9) Functions B and D are valid (2+8=10) : Setting value=15 All the functions are valid (1+2+4+8=15)

NOTE: Setting ranges and setting units of NC parameters differ depending on the NC type. Set NC parameters according to the type of NC installed in the machine. FS-0/16/18/21 series : FANUC Series 0/16/18/21 series FS-30/31/32 series : FANUC Series 30/31/32 series

APPENDIX 2-2 Descriptions of NT Manual Guide i Parameters

P7295 Setup for soft key display Display of the soft key of FANUC standard turning/ milling cycle on the 4th page during EDIT mode is 0: Invalid 1: Valid

NOTE: Display/non-display of soft-keys is changed by the parameter setup of turret head 1.

P7296 Setup for the fixed form sentence menu selecting function When inserting a fixed form sentence, automatic insertion of the spindle selecting G-code (L-spindle: G1998 S1/ R-spindle: G1998 S2) for the animation is; 0: Valid 1: Invalid

NOTE: The validity/ invalidity of this function is determined by the parameter setup of turret head 1.

When inserting a fixed form sentence, automatic insertion of the work coordinate system selecting G-code (L-spindle: G54/ R-spindle: G55) is 0: Valid 2: Invalid

NOTE: This function should be set up by each turret head. (Available on the software V7.52 or higher.)

Fixed form sentence edit function 0: Invalid 4: Valid

NOTE: The validity/ invalidity of this function is determined by the parameter setup of turret head 1. NOTE: Setting this function to valid adds interface soft-key below the USER tab displayed by pressing the soft-key OTHR, and also displays fixed form sentence IDs on the fixed form sentence selection screen. NOTE: This function is available in a software NT NURSE of version V7.60 or higher.
