Color B KNITTING NEEDLES: 1 pair "Boye" Non-Inflammable Needles, Size 3 OR SIZE YOU REQUIRE TO KNIT TO GAUGE GIVEN BELOW. 1 pair "Boye" Non-Inflammable Needles, Size 2 for ribbing. "Boye" Non-Inflammable Hook, Size D. GAUGE: Size 3 Needles - 8 sts = 1 inch MEASUREMENTS FOR BLOCKING: At bustline Width of back at underarm Width of sleeves at underarm The vertical stripes are worked in later with a slip stitch. BACK - With size 2 needles and A, cast on Work k 1, p 1 ribbing for 3 ins. Inc. 1 st in first st of last row. With size 3 needles, work stockinette st-k 1 row, p 1 row-on until 8 ins. above ribbing. Mark for underarm. Armholes - Bind off 8 sts at beg. of each of the next 2 rows. Dec. 1 st each side every 2nd row Work even on until measurements above underarm are Shoulder Shaping - Bind off at beg. of each of next 4 rows Bind off at beg. of each of next 4 rows

Bind off remaining 41 sts. FRONT - With size 2 needles and A, cast on Work same as for back until 7 ins. above ribbing, end with p row Begin neck border. K * k 1, p 1; repeat from * k 1; k remaining The rib panel will have Next row P * p 1, k 1; repeat from * p 1; p remaining Repeat the last 2 rows until same length to underarm as back, end with p row. Armhole and Neck Shaping - Bind off 8 sts at beg. of each of next 2 rows Divide for Neck - K 2 tog., k k 2 tog., * p 1, k 1; repeat from * Place these sts on holder for left side Bind off 1 st for center of neck. Right Side - * K 1, p 1; repeat from * with yarn in back of work, slip 1 st as to p, k 1, pass slip st over k st, k to within 2 sts of end, k 2 tog. always keeping the 8 sts at neck edge in ribbing. Work even until armhole measures same length as on back. Shape shoulder same as left shoulder on back. Beg. at neck edge, finish left side to correspond to right side. SLEEVES - With size 3 needles and A, cast on Entire sleeve is worked in k 1, p 1 ribbing. Inc. 1 st each side every 4th row 10 times Work even until 5 ins. from beg. Bind off 8 sts at beg. of each of the next 2 rows. Dec. 1 st each side every 2nd row Bind off 3 sts at beg. of each of next 6 rows. Bind off in ribbing COLLAR - With size 3 needles and A, cast on K 1, * p 1, k 1; repeat from * to end. Next row - P 1, * k 1, p 1; repeat from * to end. Repeat last 2 rows for collar, working until from beg. Bind off in ribbing. FINISHING - With B, work a slip st in each row of each p st stripe on front rib panel, collar and sleeves. With A, work 1 row slip st around neck edge keeping work flat, 1 row slip st around collar and sleeve edges. Sew seams. Sew in sleeves matching seams.
