My four most interesting

Through this four topic-paper I pretend to summarizer the four topics I found most interesting to develop in this assignment.

1. what are objectives? When and how to write objectives ? The objectives are those important guidelines that lead the learning of the students to a significative learning. Objectives should always be stated in the class in order to give the students the path they will walk on the class and where they have to get to. Although , it is not always necessary to write them, verbally would be a choice , too. It is important to align the class into the objectives and check if they are following what it is required. The importance of the objectives lies down on the role they have in order to guide the students into their succesful achievement of their goals and why it should be important for them to learn it. Personally ,I try to state or write on the whiteboard the main objectives of the class, so that , the students can know what they are supposed to learn and make the effort during the class. in the case of being a practicum student of pedagogy , the objectives had the

Ineffective and effective assignments Sometimes it results difficult for a teacher to realize whether all the students learnt or not because of the quantity and the different factors which are related to the accomplishment of the goals of the students. The important thing is what the students achieve or accomplish during the class, not if the teacher covers or not what it is supposed to be covered, of course it is important but it is possible to adjust the class to the real needs of the students, personally we can not get too much from the students when we put so much pressure on them without giving them the time to accomplish the goals , it should be agreed or to make a compromise with them to make them do what they are supposed to do.

What is a good assignment ? To get the students to their work appropriately must follow some important steps which are relevant to stablish a good assignment. First of all, we need to determine what we want the students to do, if we are clear with this , the accomplishment will start accordingly to what is the purpose of the class. This maybe is not always necessary when you already prescribed and planned for it, but obviously ,students should know this in advance, because we told them. The guidelines must follow what the curriculum says, but we should be creative too, in order to give flexibility to the assignment corresponding with the contents. Writing each accomplishment as single and simple sentence, without major complexity, clearly stated will succesfully work for what we intent to do , and they will not have doubts if the sentence is written appropriately . Next we should send these sentences home with the students in order to make them work on them at home and remind them that it is important, then it is relevant to give the students a copy of the same sentences , so that , they can not get lost or forget what it is required to do . The important point is that we do not have to just say the students what to do because it is necessary to keep them busy, we have to give them the opportunity to work for learning not just for killing the time. In my personal experience I have learned that it is relevant to plan my work with enough time , in order to verify if all what is assign correspond to what I am teaching.

What teaching strategy fosters student accomplishment ? It is necessary for the students to know what they are to learn in order to increase the chances that they will learn, here the most important element rises , the goals or objectives makes the most important effect on the learning, so the effective teacher should be able to define or take into consideration three concepts: The first is the learning , this has taken place when the students perform a skill or grasp the information treated from the teacher , in this case the information or skill has been acquired. The second is the comprehension ,when the students can interpret, translate , explain or summarize the information which has been treated, so that it is not difficult for them to talk about it . Then we have the Mastery, this is when the students dominate the topic and can apply and use the pieces of information given and they have a superior grade of difficulty to use the skills. My personal opinion is that , these strategies will help a lot to check stundents learning and if this is successfully acquired, practiced and understood. I have not considered these details as my priority before , but now I can realize that they are fundamental , and that chances to learn can be given by our way we face positively the class and the different processes involved on it.

All of this topics are crucial to learn how to be a better teacher and how we can improve our performance meanwhile we are in practice.
