oung, beautiful and already successful, it
seems Dasha Kapustina is on top of the
world these days.
The 23-year-old model from Vladivostok,
Russia, whose career took off at the tender age
of 17 in Japan, previously worked for Chanel
impresario Karl Lagerfeld before modelling
for some of the worlds biggest fashion houses
such as Gucci, Christian Dior, Saint Laurent
Paris, Chanel and Chlo. Her bright and
bubbly personality helped her win over the
Japanese fashion world, and saw her working
with some of the top fashion designers and
photographers in Japan.
And, having dated Formula One driver and
two-time World Champion Fernando Alonso
since mid-2012, it would appear the Russian
beauty is also very much in love. The couple
is the darling of the racing world, and Dasha
devotedly supports Fernando from the stands
at his races.
Now Dasha can add another feather to
her cap, as she has most recently been signed
on as the face of Andorras Luxury Premium
Experiences, a tiny and independent little
country located in the middle of the Pyrnes,
between France and Spain. In her role as an
ambassador of Andorran tourism, shopping
and lifestyle, Dasha also plays an active role in
its campaign www.cometoandorra.ru.
Andorra is a shopping paradise and
a fantastic resort to spoil oneself in style,
surrounded by breathtaking views of the
mountains, Dasha says of her visit to Andorra.
I didnt know Andorra before, but I was
captivated by the scenery, the climates and
the palpable sense of security. Everything is
nearby, and its wonderful to have everything
within reach. Its culture and gastronomy have
also fascinated me.
Tell us about your debut in the fashion world.
Did you always want to be a model?
I never wanted to be a model until I was 17,
when I won a beauty contest in my country. A
Japanese agency liked me and selected me for
a job with them in Tokyo, so I began my career
in modelling at 17, in Japan.
Why did you want to become involved with the
cometoandorra.ru venture?
Because this is a very new project, and its a
very nice place. I have visited many interesting
places here and enjoyed it so much! I was able
to discover Inu, the ultimate thermal and
wellness centre, Grandvalira, which is one of
Europes top ski resorts, and indulge myself with
Gala Perfumeries gorgeous cosmetics. Tourists
will denitely enjoy their time in Andorra!
What was your favourite thing about your trip
to Andorra?
I enjoyed many things, but one of the most
exciting was riding snow bikes at night
through the forest and the Hotel Hermitage
that I stayed in was absolutely incredible.
What did you like most about your photoshoot
in Andorra?
I liked all the locations and the beautiful
outts they chose for me from the Cashmere
Shop and Pyrnes Store. One of my favorite
looks was the one in the Vodka Bar, which was
very glamorous yet elegant!
What is your personal style?
I think I would describe my style as casual
elegance. Sometimes I prefer to put on jeans,
a T-shirt and sports shoes for comfort, but
sometimes, like every woman, I like to put on
high heels and an elegant dress. I feel very
sexy but still very comfortable, which is very
important to me.
What do you wear when you are at the Grand
Prix or the race track with Fernando?
I wear comfortable clothes. I am there
to support him, so I dont need to wear
something glamorous; just jeans or shorts,
and a jacket.
How supportive is he of your career?
He is doing everything for me that he can,
and I thank him every day. He supports me
throughout my good and bad times.
Who is your greatest inuence?
I cant say that anybody was a great inuence,
but to me, the one woman who is strong
and powerful is my mother.
