Professional Member
IFT Members who meet IFTs education, training, and experience requirements may apply for Professional Membership. Requirements: A bachelors, higher degree, or equivalent, in disciplines associated with food science and technology from a recognized teaching institution Five years of professional experience in food science and technology, for which a masters degree or equivalent may be presented in lieu of one (1) years experience, or a doctorate degree in lieu of three (3) years experience OR any non-food science related bachelors or higher degree, or equivalent, from a recognized teaching institution Ten years of documented contributions to the profession and, if applicable, to IFT Professional Member Dues: $190 annually

Student Member
If youre studying food science or a related field, we welcome you to apply for Student Membership. Requirements: A full-time student pursuing a degree (associates or higher) in the field of food science and technology, or in one of the sciences or branches of engineering related to food science and technology Applications must be endorsed by a faculty member Student Member Dues: $50 annually
