Committee Role and Function (draft for discussion purpose)

1) Steering/Secretariat Committee To ensure there is an available pool of participants from each community to start a club To ensure smooth start-up and operation of the various Job Clubs To liaise with CROs, ensure timely formation of club and support To Develop project proposal/business plan for the Job Club Develop a budget and manage the financial operations of the programme To ensure Monitors/Mentors are assigned to each Job Club Develop training materials and organize training for Mentors Develop Curriculum, ensure delivery of training in the various communities To Select and assigned trainers to each area Execute public relations activities as well as the media Ex-Officio Member of every committee 2) Finance Committee Mandate: to Meet members expectation on the basis of the value of our services and ensure they are delivered on the most cost effective manner Develop project proposal for fundraise Ensure there is a budget and Cash flow for SAE Job Club Operation Identify and access source of funding Formalize relationships with funding agencies Establish finance and Accounting procedure & policies Ensure that all necessary forms and fees are in compliance with Government regulations Ensure Strict control over budget & cash flow Seek unique ways to cut cost and increase income Ensure Preparation of Monthly statement of income & expenditure and monthly comparison Ensure sure accounts are Audited on a yearly basis Assist the respective Job Clubs in establishing a financial framework according to the above. Fundraising for Special Projects 3) Constitution & Club Administration Committee Mandate: to meet the expectations of our members on the basis of just and equal treatment for all Developing the Constitution Developing bylaws of the Job Clubs Preside over the training and development of the Job Clubs Executive Ensure the Constitutions and bylaws are updated and observered Provide counsel and guidance to the Job Clubs for any recommendation or amendments to Constitution

4) PR & Event Planning Committee (including Launch) Mandate: to engender the confidence of our members/community and create a positive image for the SAE Job Club Ensure the SAE Foundation has a favourable relationship with the public To promote the Activities & accomplishments of the Job Clubs Liaise with Media for all publicity opportunity Ensure there is Representation of the SAE Job Club on all related public function Communicate PR activities with Job Clubs Establish and maintain Relationship with Media Establish Media protocol Responsible for News Releases for SAE and Job Clubs Establish and circulate Newsletter to various stakeholders and institutions Build and maintain relationship with other organization in communities Develop Club Directory (Emails and Mobile Numbers) 5) Training Committee Mandate: to Train individuals to compete in the new technologically advance marketplace Membership development Training Club Executives Identify the self-improvement needs of membership Coordinate training internal & external activities (venue, instructors) Develop curriculum for core training activities Liaise with other training institutions to provide training opportunities 6) Mentors Committee Mandate: Provide directives and support to Mentors Develop guidelines and activities for Mentors Coordinate Mentors Training Report on Mentors Activities and accomplishments 7) Job Search Committee Mandate: to meet the expectation of our member on the basis the job opportunities Scout for Job Opportunities through various avenues (internet, print media, network) Help Job Club Members with their job search strategy Operate as a placement agency Liaise with institutions and the business community to identify job opportunities Promote volunteerism and apprenticeship Monitor trends and developments in the job market
