Brothers Letter

Dear little brother and sister, I am very happy to convey my loving greetings to you. I hope in Christ that you would have written your Quarterly Examination in September. I believe that God had filled you with all wisdom and guided you. September 5 th was celebrated as Teachers Day. Teachers are the eyes of wisdom in my life, Though I was dull and blunt, my Teacher sharpened me. Teachers have hearts of sacrifice, They have joined the noble profession They have moulded many great men Who are praised by the whole world Our affectionate Teachers got places in our hearts. They will be remembered forever and ever in our lives. Let us give respect to such Teachers and fulfill their dreams. We remember two great leaders in the month of October. On 2nd October we will remember the birth of Mahatma Gandhi and the death of Great Kamaraj. We shall also celebrate the Diocesan Thanks giving festival. Mahatma Gandhi got the freedom of our country. He was a great man of action. He sacrificed his life. In the same way Bible tells us about Moses who sacrificed his life and worked for the welfare of the Israelites. He had done many good deeds. The great leader Kamaraj also led a simple life without love of money. He was not luxurious. He did good deeds in the field of Education. Our Lord Jesus Christ is a freedom fighter as stated in St. Luke 4:18. We experience the freedom given by Him daily. Two students who were close friends studied in a college. One belonged to rich family and the other was very poor. Only a few days remained for university examinations. Both of them started to work hard. All paid fees for University Examinations. Hall tickets were not issued to those who have not paid the fees. This poor student did not come to college for two days. When his friend came to know this, he went to his house. There his friend was working in the field. He asked him, Hoi, why are you doing this work here? The poor student replied, I am ploughing the field for money. I do not have money to pay the Examination fees. So I do this work. Broken hearted friend embraced him with tears and said, Come, I shall pay your

Examination fees. He paid the fees. Both of them worked hard, scored high marks and got eligibility for government job. Dear little brother and sister, are you ready to do good actions? According to the Bible Verse, Do not forget to do good and to help one another, because these are the sacrifices that please God. You too do good work. So that God will be pleased by your behaviour. Paul and Silas in prison 1. At midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of God. 2. Suddenly there was a violent earth quake which shook the prison to its foundations. At once all the doors opened, and the chains fell off the prisoners. As soon as the earth quake ended, the jailer entered the broken building with a fear that the prisoners would have escaped. 1. The prisoners might have escaped. I shall kill myself 2. Dont harm yourself; we are here 3. Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 4. Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved- you and your family. The jailer took Paul and Silas to his house, washed their wounds, put medicine and gave food. They accepted Jesus; got baptism and were filled with joy. Next morning Roman authorities came to prison. 1. It was ordered to release you. 2. We are Roman citizens; there was no enquiry. They whipped us in public and we were put in jail. They themselves must come here and let us out. 3. They say that they are Roman citizens. As they were whipped in public, they want the officials to come to prison and release them. 4. What? Are they Roman citizens? We have punished them without any enquiry. Will it create a great problem? 5. We feel sorry for whipping you and put you in prison. Please you leave our city. 6. We too forgive you. We shall leave the city today itself.
