The Virtual Physiological Human (VPH) is a framework which aims to be descriptive, integrative and predictive.
1

Image Processing: In India image processing is very important, for example, at present it is very difficult to distinguish between X-rays obtained for following diseases: Pneumonia, Tuberculosis, diffrent Cancer. This position could be modified and qualitatively improved through image processing with enhanced techniques available in information technology. This is relatively a new area but has wide applications in medical image processing. Drug Designing and Development: Drug Designing and Development along with various phases of clinical trials to culminate into drugs could be carried out. Support System for critical clinical decisions: Usage of IT would provide surgeons, physicians and nurses with specific recommendations for real-time diagnostic and treatment. It covers a wide variety of technologies which range from simple alerts and prescribing drug interaction warnings to full clinical pathways and protocols. Also, an electronic/digital medical reference Library / encyclopedia could be maintained for references. Electronic Database System of Health: It could be implemented as an electronic file cabinet for patient data from diversified sources (that eventually integrate text, images, voice, handwritten notes, scans etc.). They are generally viewed as part of an automated order-entry and patient-tracking system that provides real-time access to patient data, as well as a continuous longitudinal record of their care. Computerized Medication Environment: Information Technology can be used as an medication ordering and fulfillment system that includes lab orders, radiology studies, procedures, discharges, transfers, and referrals. Image archiving and communication system: Development of technology to capture and integrate diagnostic and radiological images from various devices (e.g., X-ray, MRI, Computed tomography scan), collecting data and disseminating to a medical record, a clinical data repository, or other points of healthcare. Use of Bar-coding: Bar-coding in a healthcare environment uses an optical scanner to electronically capture information encoded on a product. Patents could be provided with arm bracelets with barcodes that could hold the vital record of that patient for doctors, which could be retrieved / assessed by handheld scanners when needed. It can be used for matching proper and exact medication (for example, matching drugs to patients by using barcodes on both the medications as well as patients' arm bracelets). Other applications could also be pursued, such as medical devices, lab, and Radiology.

Hence, there is great opportunity to advance the healthcare delivery system both hospitals based and domiciliary adopting technologies like Telemedicine there by attending to calls at home and village level. Advanced multimedia and communication network have shown immense potential in distance education and mentoring in health. Virtual reality and Simulation, widely used in overseas medical institutions, can be adopted in India to use it as a tool in health professional education. Hospital management has to be done in a professional way using Information Technology and advanced network which cuts down the expenditure, improve quality of service and ensure reliability besides safe keeping of medical records in electronic form without decay.

SCIENCE CONCLAVE:
A Congregation of Nobel Laureates at IIIT-Allahabad Government of India, Ministry of HRD, New Delhi, in order to promote the studies and researches in different disciplines of General Sciences and to enthuse the students, teachers and researchers in the country and to provide them incentives and orientations, conceived holding of Science Conclaves- A Congregation of Nobel Laureates and nationally and internationally acclaimed and accomplished scientists from the year 2008, on the pattern of that held at Lindau in Germany every year. Under this Scheme, nominated and selected students of UG, PG and Research disciplines in the Universities and Colleges across the country in general sciences like Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology as well as Engineering and other similar sciences are invited for a weeklong discussion, interaction and dissemination session with the Nobel Laureates and other eminent scientists. Their to and fro travel to the Institute and logistics are financed by the Govt. IIIT-A was chosen by the Govt. to host the first four Science Conclaves in the years 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012 in series in the country. The scientific programme of the Conclave comprises of interdisciplinary platform & forums of discussions, lectures, experiments, exhibition & video sessions deliberated by the Nobel Laureates, eminent scientists & researchers both from India & abroad addressing questions related to basic science research and application-oriented themes. This unique conference format contributes to the generation of new ideas, encourages personal contacts, INSPIRES scientific endeavors over and beyond the norm, and enables the critical examination of scientific questions from a new point of view. An environment of Gurukul style of learning is adopted, whereby both formal and informal interactions take place so as to instill, counsel and given direction towards science education to the young inquisitive minds. To facilitate the interactions with Nobel Scientists, sessions are divided into two time-zones. Morning sessions comprises of formal addresses by the Nobel Laureates and their work for which they have been awarded highlighting their basic expertise, challenges faced, important findings and outcome with its final progress, to give the gathering an insight into the work already done in the specific areas in terms of research and development. These sessions are not just confined to their education frontier but beyond it such as the hardships & sacrifices that they and their families faced (which could not be acknowledged) thus giving the audience a familial feeling. Afternoon session comprises of informal get-togethers and discussion with the Laureates where no limitations are set for the kind of questions to be handled. The following Nobel Laureates have graced the occasion as mentioned below:
