April 23, 2013 Dear Sir or Madam: I am a veteran video game industry professional eager to pursue new challenges and opportunities. I have created 3D content for several top selling and popular franchises. My experience has encompassed development on most of the popular game consoles including Xbox360, PS3, and Nintendo (Wii, DS, 3DS). I am interested in a position as a 3D Artist (Environment, Prop, Vehicle) within your company. My extensive career history has enabled me to hone my skills creating vehicles, environments and props for several popular titles such as Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, Eternal Darkness, Guitar Hero, Skylanders: Spyros Adventure and Halo 4. I started in this industry as a level designer where I learned the importance of a solid design with Blood Omen: the Legacy of Kain, a game that sold very well on the Sony Playstation. Building upon my game design experience, I began utilizing my knowledge of Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineering to create both high and low polygon 3D content for several AAA games for various consoles, PC and online. My expert knowledge of vehicles and mechanics was leveraged in the development of a proprietary rendering and damage/destruction systems for the Full Auto games resulting in a visually rich game play experience. During my time as a Sub-Lead Character artist, I assisted the Art Director and Lead Artist to develop the art style for Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock (Wii) and worked with the Tech Artists and Programmers to develop tools and systems used by the artists. The end result was a game that sold more units than its xBox360 and PS3 counterparts. I know how vital teamwork and communication are to keeping high levels of quality while at the same time meeting deadlines. I am passionate about continuing to build upon the knowledge and skills I have already obtained and using my creative talents to produce outstanding products. I am certain I would be a great asset to your company in ensuring its continued success. I would be interested in talking with you to discuss any employment opportunities within your company. My portfolio can be viewed at the link provided at the top of this cover letter. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Albert Alejandro
