By conducting a spring test the spring testing machine, determine the stiffness of spring, modulus of rigidity of the spring wire and maximum strain energy stored Conduct a shear test on the given specimen under a double shear set-up By conducting hardness test, find the Brielle Hardness Number (BHN) for the given metal specimen By conducting hardness test, determine the Rockwell hardness for the given metal specimen By Conducting an Izod impact test, determine the impact modulus of the given specimen. Carry out the Charpy impact test and determine the impact toughness (Strain energy). Determine the stiffness of spring, modulus of rigidity of the spring wire and maximum strain energy stored through a spring test Conduct a uniaxial tension test on the given test specimen, determine and tabulate the following: (i) % Elongation, (ii) Reduction in Area (%) (ii) Modulus of Elasticity, (iv) Yield strength, (v) Ultimate Tensile Strength and generate the stress-strain graph for the sample. By conducting a torsion test, determine the shear modulus, proportional limit shear stress, and the proportional modulus of rupture and plot curves of torque vs. angle of twist.
