Learning Experiences A. Review on the previous topic: Literary Symbols B. Introduction of the new lesson: Paraphrase C. Discussion 1. What is a Paraphrase? 2. What are the uses of Paraphrase? 3. How is Paraphrase important in your practical and academic life? 4. How do you paraphrase? 5. Do you think that paraphrasing a text then claiming it as your own work is right? Explain. D. Synthesis A Paraphrase is a restatement of the meanings of a passage in ones own words.

E. Quiz 1. Instructions: Paraphrase your favorite song in not more than ten sentences. 2. With a partner, write a Paraphrase of the poem Sonnet to my Mother by George Baker. IV. Assignments A. Write a Paraphrase of your favorite sonnet by William Shakespeare. 1. Submit it on a one-half crosswise sheet of tablet paper. 2. Due on January 8, 2013. B. What is a Simple Sentence?
