Military and civil avionics sub-systems have a lot in common. Discuss the main common systems. Modern commercial airlines use electronic flight instrument system [EFIS}. What are the global positioning systems [GPS] currently in use? Explain any one GPS system. What is stable platform inertial navigation system [INS] and how is it different from strapped Down INS? Modern airliners incorporate automatic flight control using fly-by-wire technology. Explain briefly this concept.
