B. Check-In Procedures
1. A representative from each team (coach/captain) is required to check-- in at the score table prior to each game. Here they must fill out game roster sheets fully and accurately. 2. A minimum of 6 players is required upon check-in prior to the start of the game. If this minimum is not met, the team will be forced to forfeit. 3. Each member of the team is required to hand in provided lanyards with their student card and Spirit Deposit Coupon to officials at the score table prior to the game. An individual who fails to do so is defined as INELIGIBLE to play in that game. Failure to comply will result in a FORFEIT and the loss of half the Spirit Deposit ($10).
C. Equipment
The Field 1. The field used for Ultimate will occupy one-half of a regulation soccer field (50x60m) 2. The end zone of the field is located at either ends of the field and will be clearly marked as such.
3. Team members must stay in the team bench area or be penalized for objectionable conduct unless they are given permission by an official to leave the area or are entering the field during the legal substitution as a player. Only team members are allowed to stay in the team bench area; anyone else in the area must leave immediately or the team will be penalized for objectionable conduct.
Disk A regulation disk will be provided and used over the course of the weekend.
D. Timing
1. The official game length will be 24 minutes (2x12 minute halves) 2. The referee will be in charge of official timekeeper and for starting and stopping the clock. 3. Each team will be given one (1) 60-second timeout per half. These cannot be carried over to the second half. The referee or any on-field player can only call timeouts when the ball is dead. 4. Teams change end zones at the half.
8. Non-contact: No physical contact is allowed between players. Picks and screens are also prohibited. A foul occurs when contact is made. Players will receive one warning, on repeat offense; their team will suffer a two (2) minute penalty where they will be one (1) player down. 9. Fouls: When a player initiates contact on another player, a foul occurs. When a foul disrupts possession, the play resumes as if the possession was retained.
