Take-Home Kit:
We hope to re-implement the school-family partnership project, the TakeHome Kit, We start with the parents of the kindergartens children., last week, to help their child make a gift for their friend in school, to exchange at the end of the theme My School and Friends. The main objective of the Take-Home Kit is to encourage active parentinvolvement in childrens learning. It will serve as a platform for parents to spend quality time with your child and also to keep parents well- informed of what we are teaching our children in school currently and also your childs progress. The focus is not in the end-product but the process of it. We will include parents from other classes later in the weeks.
Glcklich Schoolhouse recognizes that parents have a valuable role to play in the education of young children. Effective partnerships between teachers and parents are essential to meet the needs of children and support their development. We are working towards a more active collaboration with families and want to invite parents to join us in organizing the next Family Party scheduled to be held in August 2013. Family Party also known as Familie Feier, is an annual family gathering we have with all parents and children. The past years, we have had a night camp fire, a school concert (for our graduating children then), childrens art works auction to raise fund for Childrens Cancer Foundation, a wall-climbing event, and many more events organized by the parents for the children/parents in school. We welcome parent participation in all school experiences. We attach a Parent Volunteer Form, which contains a variety of ways you could be involved. We hope to form a Parents Support Group through this partnership and collaboration. School Uniform: Please ensure that your child comes to school in uniforms every day, and pack another pair for your child to change, after shower. Personal Belongings: Please be reminded to label children's belonging clearly and provide three labeled bags for clean, soiled uniform and towel. We would appreciate it if you
