Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions, and read the Bible Story with scripture references indicated under the power outlets. As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will have their Picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in the newsletter.

People of many religions have been persecuted throughout history, but the Jews have had it worse than all others.

Genesis 12:3, I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you.

Father God, Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastors Ron and Hope. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great you are and how much I love you. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed. In Jesus' name, Amen

I will pray for the peace of Jerusalem. I will prosper because I love Jerusalem. We have been made right with God by the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or spot. I Peter 1:18-19 Christ was sent for me to be the precious cornerstone of the church. I Peter 2:6

Throughout the Old Testament, God finds His people, the Jews, being rebellious; breaking their covenant with Him. Their future fate was spoken in Obadiah 1:2, telling Israel that God would make them small among the nations because of their sin. It could have been the exact opposite; there were many promises of God to bless them. Israel is like a favorite child whose parents would do anything for them if they would just obey. God has always had a plan for His chosen people-the Jews and Jerusalem. The Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, where Jesus stood with His disciples when he left this earth and ascended into Heaven, is the exact same mountain where His feet will touch when He returns to the earth. God has used the Jews to bring His eternal plan to earth. As Christians, it is important that we remember to pray for them and help them in every way we can because they are fighting for their lives every day. God loves them and blesses those who bless them.
