Hebrews - Chp 3
Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ

General Theme of Hebrews 3

As the first verse tends to set the chapter theme, we are thereby asked to "consider" (perceive, remark, observe, understand) Christ Jesus (notably reverse of Jesus Christ) as an Apostolic High Priest, the Mosaic house of law, and what(?) the Holy Ghost saith. Such profession, of law, involved hardened hearts by the deceitfulness of sin (not of God: 2Cor 5:19), temptation (not of God: James 1:13), works (plural: grace + law; not of God: Jn 17:4), a generation (40 yrs) of grief (not of God: Mt 23:4), err (not of God: Mt 5:48), ways (not of God: Jn 14:6), and wrath (not of God: Lk 6:36); And to the point of not enter for all due to some did provoke. In short, what we're considering is the provocation, of a law God, unto law worketh wrath (again not of God: 1Th 5:9). "Wherefore" x 3: 'oyen' & 'dio' & 'oyen' in the greek, is followed by "take heed". But "give (more earnest) heed" was exhorted for "escape" in Heb 2, escaping the destruction of law worketh wrath in Heb 3, and upon all if only some did provoke it. And perhaps such "give" and "take" in Hebrews is as tricky to navigate as Revelation, both written by Paul The Apostle: who is notably not only a revelator of "mystery", but also a "faithful steward of the mysteries of God" in such things are an allegory. ................................................................................ Heb 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Wherefore (#1 of 3 such), holy brethren ... Paul acknowledges all as "brethren", but

now refers to Hebrews as "holy brethren", perhaps satirically noting they are law(holy) brethren. Yet what remains to be seen is such makes divisional sides, two holies, plural heavens, Gods. Heb 3 is about looking at their side, law, considering the deceitfulness, hardheartedness, and dead end of sin consciousness via law: source and strength of sin; Real-ize wrath is not of God, not the "living" God, rather of a dead God of dead/living Gods, false of false/true Gods. Partakers of the heavenly calling ... both light and darkness are called, but light is called day, darkness called night, and each have a different ruler. However the "heavenly" invitation (calling) is not both a (grace + law) come + depart for the right + left as in Mt 25, but y'all come, come now let us reason together, come ye blessed. And such blessed isn't the first of twain in Rom 4:7,8; but the better "man" kind of blessed: no sin imputed. The "heavenly" calling is also a calling by the "heavenly" name: the name of our Father, and the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is also "the name by which ye are called" to come to repentance: "grace". Consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus ... tricky, for victory is not through Christ Jesus; rather "God hath given us the victory through Jesus Christ". Christ Jesus is mirrorly the reverse. Grace and truth came by "Jesus Christ" (Jn 1:17). Peace with God is through "Jesus Christ". The reverse, Christ Jesus, would be war with God, a merciless law God. Song: I fought the law and the law won, should ring a bell. Selah. Heb 3:2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses in all his house. faithful to him that appointed him... In considering Christ Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of the profession of Hebrews: law, it's noted he was faithful to him that appointed him. Looking back at first mention of Christ Jesus in Acts 19:4, it seems John the Baptist appointed him (to be believed on). John the Baptist got beheaded for accusing a king of sin, perhaps allegoric for his accusation-all law getting abolished. as also Moses in all his house... The house of Moses is the law. Heb 3:3 For this [man] was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. In such a hierarchical house as law, there seems to be more glory for some; and perhaps why the second mention of house in the greek is as a backward baffling wind. For in the house of God the same glory, grace glory, is unto all. For truly there is no respect of persons with God. Heb 3:4 For every house is builded by some [man]; but he that built all things [is] God. Heb 3:5 And Moses verily [was] faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; Heb 3:6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. But... whenever we have a "But" we have a comparison being made; the comparison here is between servant and son. A servant gets told what to Do-teronomy & Don'teronomy. Yet a son, even if the heir of all things, differeth nothing from a servant as long as he is a child. Let us be aware the difference of Christ of Christ Jesus, and Christ of Jesus Christ, perhaps is as if the begin and end of law; even as if the begin and end of sorrows via this and that gospels. Peace with God is through Jesus => Christ. The Christ thereof "that

God" (of this/that Gods) was in, reconciling the world unto himself, is "the end of the law". It's an allegory. Selah. Heb 3:7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Wherefore (#2 of 3) ... the two different "Wherefore"s (oyen and dio in greek) indicating a comparative allegorical teaching is occuring, a comparison being made, perhaps even of two Holies, one a Ghost, the other a "living God", a Spirit. Perhaps between dead vs living Gods, law vs grace, oxymoronic mixture thereof being a deadly combo: grace + law = life + death. Heb 3:8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: as in the provocation... "as in Adam(them) all die", the "as in" them, denoting it's allegoric in the day of temptation... God does not tempt anyone nor can God be tempted (James) Heb 3:9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. your fathers tempted me... God cannot be tempted (James). Here we have ample evidence the Holy Ghost is not Godly, for God can neither be tempted nor tempteth anyone; And the living God is merciful, not merciless: all who despised Moses' law died "without mercy". my works... plural "works" speak of grace + law. Minsiters thereof are said to be ministers of Satan, whose end shall be according to their "works": life + death = a dead end (2Cor 11:15). Such grace + law is also as blessed + cursed = accursed (Gal 1:9). There is only one work which God gave to JC, and he finished such "work" before the cross (Jn 17). Such work was bringing forth the truth about the law: it's a liar, thief, killer which oughta be given no place. Such work was taking grace + law and making it grace vs law, grace or law, "either make the tree good or evil", not both good + evil, for both is an oxymoronic paradox with a bad ending. Heb 3:10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in [their] heart; and they have not known my ways. Wherefore... #3 of 3, oyen again of oyen, dio, oyen in greek I was grieved with that generation... law doesn't permit any blasphemy nor forgive it either they have not known my ways... God has but one way, which leadeth to life; and when plural ways mentioned, well, the combo is grace + law leading to saved + destroyed: Jude 5. Heb 3:11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) in my wrath... law worketh wrath: Rom 4:15; so we're not talking the God of all grace they shall not enter... looking at and adding up the no enter lists throughout the gospels and epistles seems to exclude everyone by law, whereas grace includes everyone for wholeness. Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

in departing from the living God ... so, after talking about the dead God, we talk of the "living God" who is also God of the living, the only wise God of such foolish/wise Gods. Heb 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. exhort one another... exhorting involves summoning or coming along side and reasoning what's evident from the evidence To day... to light(God called the light day), to enlightenment, to understanding deceitfulness of sin... law being the source and strength of sin, is about as deceitful as it gets Heb 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; Heb 3:15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. if ye will hear his voice ...ye that desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law? Heb 3:16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. only some provoked, yet all died (Jude 5), making it clear if any law, or even give place to the law by trying to argue with it, then it's all die, via the curse of the law. Heb 3:17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? [was it] not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? whose carcases fell in the wilderness...Since blasphemy the Ghost unpardonable, both in this world and the to come, well, that alone ought to be good enough reason for all to flush all law. For when looking at Numbers and Jude we find all saved out of Egypt were also destroyed by such Mosaic grace + law = saved + destroyed = bad ending. When looking at "them" in such verses, it seems clear it is not God, not that God; For to wit, "that God" was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, "not imputing their trespasses unto "them" (2Cor 5:19). The real God, the God of all grace, the living God, does not impute sin. Heb 3:18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? to whom sware he... such question is also answered: to "them", which is biblically defined in Genesis 5 as first Adam, Mr & Mrs Adam, "them" of them/us, created of created/made, imperfect of imperfect/perfect, law of law/grace, child of child/man, foolish of foolish/wise, etc. Such is allegorically the first part of a two part shew, "in our image" of (i) in our image (ii) after our likeness, the before of such before/after, the not be of not be/be, what not to be of twain. Them believed not grace is sufficient, added "law worketh wrath" to "grace is sufficient", and such killed them all dead, not to mention "fear hath torment" and law produces infirimites.

Heb 3:19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. So we see... in considering the law of such law/grace, we see it's deceitful, sin conscious, and deadly, to the point of no enter, for all if any provoke, and some always do provoke it in ignorance law is the strength of sin, thereby uses your legalism against you, to kill you dead. Seeing is believing, now faith of then/now faiths, seeing faith of blind/seeing faiths, is about seeing via the evidence, making it evident that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God. Footnote: Exhort one another while it is called To day. No time like the present, which is To day, which is To light(Gen 1), To enlightenment, To us-ward, To you-ward, To getting it: understanding. Why? lest "any" be hardened through the DECEITFULNESS of sin, sin imputation, sin consciousness, which comes by law, the source and strength of sin. Adding any law at all to grace is sufficient, even one lousy tree law in Gen 2:17, imputes sin (Rom 4:15b; 5:13b), and is deceitful, a lie, a snare; for it makes all sinners, and the penalty for any sin is death to all via the curse of the law, which is non existence, akin to dinosaurs. The POINT being made is if any add law to grace is sufficient it can bring forth the death of all, for "a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump", like a little cancer killeth the whole body, including the head, if not removed in time. Hence it is allegorically called the "operation" of God to remove law in time. And it is allegorically exhorted to find grace, in time, to help solve the mystery of life + death. Selah. Conclusion of Hebrews: "Grace" with you all. Amen.
