F. Assessment: What will you use to measure student understanding? While students are working in small groups, I will walk around to see if students are on task. The completed project on the Native American tribe will also serve as an assessment. Explain how you will know students understand the concepts from the lesson. The completed project will show how well students understand the lesson. If the material looks like it was researched thoroughly and many facts and pictures are included on the paper Ill know the group did their research well. I also am requiring each student in the group to speak during the presentation so I can see how well they understand the material by how it is explained and I can ask follow up questions if needed.
