Description. Program USB is designed for prevention of infecting computers by autorun viruses .

Program is loaded into system memory and when new removable device attachment oc cured, program automatically renames autorun.inf files on new device into autorun.inf_current date_time, and set to i t attribute "normal", making it visible for system. As a result we have an preve ntion of infecting. License. This program is freeware and can be used under principle "as-is".<br> Warning! Usere have no rights to replicate, disassemble or distribute parts of p rogram without author's agreement. Interface. Program interface realised using system tray menu. Abilities: Settings - Autostart When checked, program will loaded automaticaly on system startup for cur rent user. - Messages When checked, program will inform user about all actions on founded auto run.inf files. - Run command file on removable-device attach When checked, program will run command file, specified in USB.ini. - Tray Icon When checked, program will use tray incon for interface. When not checke d, program will run in "hidden" mode. Can be restored only by editing usb.ini * Additional abilities (with description) - in file usb.ini Actions - Check local drives Program will check all local drives (exclude floppy) for autorun.inf fil es. When this file was found, program shows message about it to user, and re named it's file as describted above. - Disable autorun for all system drives Changing system registry parameter for prevent autorun. As a parameter, command file recieves new volume name as X:\ ;fs1_1=1 - first run(?) some config, when program runs first time. Sample content of command file (for example, runit.cmd): echo New drive "%1" attached at %time% %date% >> log.txt This command line will give us new file log.txt with all events of new removable device attachments, include date and time of attachment.
