LSL SATURDAY 20 APRIL Kingswood FC Seniors and UCD both needed the three points on offer today, with UCD needing the three points more so than Kingswood with both teams in contention for the league. With Kingswood at home starting the brightest of the two teams, should have been 1 - 0 up through Luke Halpins brilliant header on target, only for the UCD keeper to pull off a great save to keep it out. The home side were awarded a free kick just outside the box. With David bracken taking this, he aimed for the far right corner and it took a wicked deflection off the wall and D went in to the left of goal. The first half ended 1-0 to Kingswood. The second e half started with UCD looking to bring this tie level and it didnt take long l before they scored. It was a well taken goal and the Kingswood keeper had e no t chance. Kingswood was awarded a peno after a cross from the right was handled e inside the box. David bracken aimed straight down the middle, and his effort was well saved by the keeper. But not long after this Kingswood did take back their t e lead when John Brodericks strike on goal beat the keeper. 2 - 1 Kingswood. With x 10 minutes left UCD could have walked away with a draw only for a world class t save from Karl Skelly to deny UCD and it wasnt his only save that kept Kingswood title hopes alive as he had to pull off some brilliant save's throughout a the n match. And for that reason Karl Skelly got man of the match. Another great game d of football from Kingswood and a well deserved victory. Well done lads.

LARKVIEW 3KINGSWOOD 4
LSL SATURDAY 27 APRIL
The Seniors went into this game knowing a win would put them in a great position to win their league. With their remaining game at home next sat, a win here would put them in a great position to do that. Todays game started with very little action with both teams looking to carve out the opener, and it went all wrong when Larkview scored after 20 minutes. But 3 minutes later David Bracken beat 2 players and slotted home to bring it back 1 - 1 apiece. This first half wasnt over and Larkview put 2 more past the seniors keeper. Kingswood was in real trouble by now. 3 - 1 down at half time. Kingswood really needed a miracle if they were to get anything out of this game and with 20 minutes gone they pulled 1 back when they were awarded a peno. Sean Casey stepped up and put it passed the keeper. 3 - 2 Larkview. Not long after this, Kingswood was awarded a free kick outside the box. John Broderick made a quick run, which Sean seen and John was left with a simply tap in. Kingswood bringing this tie 3 - 3, Larkview were know on the back foot. With only 3 minutes remaining, Bracken was upended inside the box. Peno given to Kingswood. Ciaren Bisset stepped up for this one, knowing that if he scored, the seniors would walk away with a win, and he did with a well taken peno. They really left it late, but all 3 points went to them. The seniors never know when to give up, and that is why they are in this position. One game to go, and its at home next Saturday against Blackrock. A win or draw next week will crown them CHAMPIONS. Also Man of the Match was John Broderick. Well done John.
Well done to Bens U15's on Sunday beating Beechwood 3-1 with goals from James Quinn, Craig Walsh and Kevin Kongolo. Well done.
Well done to the under 10s on Saturday winning 6-1 against Donnybrook. With goals from Leighton Doogan scoring a hatrick, Hamzat Salam with 2 and a peno from the best goalkeeper in the league Brian Mc Manus. Well done.
