2 Here are the user views for a business database application that represent reports that the users want to get from the new business system. Normalize them to Third Normal Form and draw an ERD that shows each normalized relation, the attributes in each relation (including the primary key), and the relationships between the relations. You may invent surrogate primary keys when there is no useful natural key. Committee Report: Employees are assigned to one or more committees. The report shows: Committee Identifier Committee Name Committee Chairperson Name Committee Member Names Employee Report: The organization is organized into Divisions and Sections. Each employee is assigned a job within a Section. Most employees are assigned to one or more projects and to one or more committees. The report contains the following: Employee Identifier (payroll clock number) Name (Given Name, Middle Name, Family Name, Name Suffix) Form of Address (Mr., Ms., Dr., etc.) Work Phone Number Hourly Budget Rate (for budget reporting) Employee Job Assignment, including Section Name, Beginning Date and Time, Ending Date and Time, Job Title Office Assignments, including Office Identifier, Office Type (private, semi-private, open area, etc.), Building, Location (within the building). While most employees have only one office assignment, some have multiple office assignments because of frequent travel or other work requirements. Project Assignments, including Project Identifier, Project Budget (see Budget Report), Division Name (projects are assigned to a Division, but not to a Section), Project Name, Begin Date, End Date (projected date if project has not ended), and Project Manager Name. Budget Report: Each Section and each Project has a Budget. Both types of budgets must coexist in the same database to allow for consolidation of projected and actual expenses for the annual report. Each Budget contains one or more Line Items, each having a distinct Budget Category. Expenses for employee labor hours, travel expenses, and purchases are charged to Budget Line Items. The report contains the following: Section Name or Project Name for the Budget. Budget Description Budget Line Items, including Budget Category Code, Budget Category Description, Budget Amount (in dollars). Each Budget will have only one Line Item for each Budget Category. Purchase Expense Charges, including Transaction Date, Description, Transaction Type (Charge, Reversal, etc.), Expense Dollars Hourly Charges, including Transaction Date, Description, Employee ID, Transaction Type, Hours Charged, Time Period (begin and end dates) Travel Expense Charges, including Transaction Date, Description, Transaction Type, Trip Destination, Trip Begin Date, Trip End Date, Expense Dollars
