EFFECTS
Eye (Contact): Will irritate eyes. Prolonged contact may lead to damage to eyes.
Skin (Contact): A moderate irritant. Prolonged or repeated contact may lead to dermatitis in some
cases.
Inhalation(Breathing): Moderately irritating to the respiratory tract and mucous membranes.
Ingestion (Swallowing): Can cause headache, dizziness, gastric disorders and symptoms of central
nervous system depression.

HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION
FIRST AID

Eye (Contact): Hold eyes open flush with water for 10 to 15 minutes. Seek medical attention.

Skin (Contact): Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water.

Inhalation(Breathing): Move patient to a well ventilated area. If unconscious give mouth to


mouth resuscitation and call for immediate medical attention.

Ingestion (Swallowing): If swallowed, and if more than 15 minutes from hospital, INDUCE
Vomiting, preferably using IPECAC Syrup APF.

Advice to Doctor: Treat asymptomatically.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE


Exposure Limits: Recommended TLV for a 100% Ethyl Alcohol solution: 100ppm for 8 hour
days, 5 days a week.
Ventilation: Local Exhaust.
Protective Equipment:
Gloves: PVC or rubber gloves should be worn during manual tasks.
Eye Protection: Eye protection(glasses or goggles), should be worn.
Clothing & Other Protective Equipment: As required to prevent repeated
skin contact.
Flammability: Nil

Storage & Transport Precautions: Transport and store in a cool dry place.

Spills & Disposal: Eliminate all possible ignition sources. Contain with sand or earth. dispose of in
appropriately licensed containers in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Special Fire Fighting Procedures: Use breathing apparatus. Prevent runoff into waterways or
drains. Use water to cool fire. Extinguish fire with BCF, Dry chemical or CO2
