Affidavit by Parent/Guardian for Permitting their Son/Daughter/Ward to Appear in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) - 2013

(To be printed on non-judicial stamp paper worth Rs. 50/-) I, Son/Daughter of Mr./Mrs.......... aged about years and a resident of ... ...hereby solemnly state and affirm as under: 1. That my son/daughter/ward Mr./Ms. has applied for admission to U.G./P.G. courses offered by various National Law Universities through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2013, vide OMR Application Form No. .. 2. That, while filling up the OMR Application Form, some of the Columns were left incomplete or improperly filled due to ignorance/negligence on our part and not due to any mala fide intention to mislead the CLAT authorities. 3. That, owing to the OMR application form being incomplete/improperly filled, the same has been rejected. 4. That, owing to the reasons stated by me, I request the CLAT authorities, not to reject the application form and allow my son/daughter/ward to appear in the CLAT-2013. 5. That, I hereby affirm that the unfilled column(s) in my son/daughter/wards application form may please be read as not applicable in his/her case and by default be treated as No, None, Others, General and None for the Col. No, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9, respectively. 6. That, while filling the Application Form at Column No.18 pertaining to university preferences, my son/daughter/ward has made mistakes of either not filling all the preferences or leaving certain blank spaces or furnishing more than one preferences. He/she has done so due to sheer ignorance and that he/she may please be allotted seats in order of merit and university preferences furnished by him/her only. In all other cases, Convener, Core Committee, CLAT-2013 may use his discretion for the allotment of university. 7. That, I hereby undertake that my son/daughter/ward alone is liable for such mistakes and if we raise any objection, his/her candidature for admission may be cancelled. 8. That, I hereby solemnly aver and undertake that we shall not make any claim for any benefit with respect to the category/categories/university preferences for which we have not filled the information in the OMR Application Form either by ignorance or by negligence.
