05 Update 1

This ReadMe document contains important information about an Update to the Acrobat 4.05 product. Please
read this before installing the Update.
Adobe Acrobat 4.05 Update 1 contains bug fixes to several Acrobat 4.05 components.
The following list indicates what components are updated and what is fixed:

Macintosh:
If you experience one of the problems described above, you are encouraged to download and apply the
Update. If you are not experiencing problems, you may not require the Update.
For both Macintosh and Windows users, simply launch the Update 1 application. On the Macintosh, if you
have multiple instances of Acrobat 4.05 on your system, you will be asked which one you wish to apply this
update to. If you would like to apply it to other instances, simply run the Update again. On Windows, the
update will be applied to the currently registered Acrobat instance.
On Windows NT and Windows 2000 you must have administrator privileges to install the Update.
In Full Acrobat 4.05 and in Acrobat Business Tools, the Acrobat splash screen will indicate “Acrobat 4.05
Update 1” in the lower left hand corner.
For Acrobat Reader, the splash screen will not be updated. Instead, you can tell whether you have
successfully installed Update 1 by examining the version of one of the updated plugins.
On Windows, locate and right click webbuy.api and choose Properties. Acrobat 4.05 included webbuy.api
file version 4.05. Update 1 installs version 4.08.
On Macintosh, locate and select the WebBuy file in the Finder and choose Get Info from the File menu. .
Acrobat 4.05 included webbuy.api file version 4.0.5. Update 1 installs version 4.0.8.
