A STUDY ON THE IMPACT OF TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT ON THE IMPROVEMENT OF EMPLOYEE MORALE, CONDUCTED AT THE IMPACT SAFETY GLASS WORKS PVT. LIMITED, OLD MADRAS ROAD, AVALAHALLI, BANGALURU.

IMPACT SAFETY GLASS WORKS PVT LIMITED, today is at the thresh-hold of being a global leader in glass processing in automotive as well as architectural. In last 5 years we have back-ward integrated to set up a most modern Hi-Tech plant which is completely Robotized and CNC operative with the Asias First and Worlds 11 th pore Technology Tempering-size 5.1M X 2.44 M capable of servicing the needs of any Global customer Par Excellence We are servicing Architectural, Automotive, Specialty and an extensive dealer Network, processing 20,000 sq. mt. of glass per month. To the above feats we are the first company in India to exports tempered glasses to Belgium, Germany, Dubai and Sri Lanka. We have forward integrated to give complete solution in frameless facades and have a dedicated and Globally Trained Team to Design, Manufacture and install Frameless Facades

Introduction
Training and development is defined as the systematic acquisition of skills, rules, concepts, or attitudes that results in improved performance in another environment. Therefore, training programs are planned to produce, a more responsible employee, viz., a more considerate supervisor, a more productive worker, a more competent technician in the workplace, or leaders of complex organization. In some cases, such as on the job training, the instructional environment is almost identical to the actual job environment. Morale is a combination of all the attitudes of an individual towards the things that affect him and are important to him. Because of motivational impact, attitudes also influence the actions and performance of personnel.

Morale is very widely used term. It has been variously defined by different authorities. Morale is a feeling somewhat related to esprit de corps, enthusiasm or zeal. Morale as a mental condition or attitudes of individual and groups which determine their willingness to co-operate. Employee morale is very complex phenomenon and is influenced by many factors like attitudes of the executives and managers towards their subordinates, working conditions including pay, hours of work, and safety rules etc.

Statement Of The Problem


Increase in the employee morale is very important for the proper and smooth functioning of any organization. The increased morale will help to increase the employee involvement in the organization which can reduce the employee turnover. The effect of Training and development on employee morale cannot be measured directly; but change in attitude and behavior that occurs as a result of training which ultimately contributes towards the production can be measured.. So employee assessment should be done after every training session by management, to know the effectiveness of training given to the employee.

Objective Of The Study:


Research objective This research aims to study and evaluate the effectiveness of training and development to improve the employee morale in Impact Safety Glass Works Pvt. Limited, with respect to executive and non-executive of the organization. Primary objectives:

To study about the effects of training on improving employee morale. To find out the morale and job satisfaction level of employee. To find out innovative training processes which increase the effectiveness of training.

To give suggestion and proposals depending on the study for enhancing training effectiveness.

Secondary objective: To enhance effectiveness in the present position. To keep abreast of development in technical and management fields. To develop capabilities and competencies to assume higher responsibilities and promote skills in supervisory, inter-personal relation and team building.

Research methodology:
Type of research: This is a descriptive study that aims at studying the impact of training and development on employee morale followed by Impact safety glass pvt., Limited. In order to determine the essential features, the study has been designed to collect the opinions, views, and information from the managers and various employees of the organization. For the purpose of fulfillment of the objectives of the study, the researcher adopted the following methods of study.

Methodology:
Survey method- Questionnaire.

Sampling:
The study is based on convenience sampling method. Based on predetermined criteria the sample unit is selected. The study includes specific relevance of the sampling units and their overall representatives to the population of 600. Type of sampling- Simple Random Sampling. Sampling frame-employees and workers of Impact Safety Glass Pvt. Limited. Sampling size- a sample of 100 from a population of 600.

Plan of analysis:
Preparation of questionnaire. Sample selection. Conducting the survey. The data collected will be tabulated to enable analysis The collected data will be represented in charts and graphs The conclusion will be drawn from these observations.
