Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) Challenge and Eligibility:

1. What is the FLIP National Challenge? The FLIP National Challenge is an all India contest conducted by Finitiatives Learning India Private Limited (FLIP) for business school students. Students are required to write a FLIP certification exam in the area of their choice (Treasury & Capital Markets/Corporate Banking-Products & Credit Analysis/Trade Finance and Cash Management Services for final year students and Finance & Banking Fundamentals - India for 1st year students). The exam must be written between 9th August and 26th September, 2011. The top 10 students (for final year students only) from each area will get to attend a role specific job interview with FLIP National Challenge Partners (ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and YES Bank). The top 10 students (for 1st year students only) will get an opportunity to visit the Standard Chartered Banks dealing room and meet the MD (Regional Head) of Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities South Asia. Also the Top Ten students of each area (including 1st year students) will get mentoring/interview guidance and help in resume preparation from senior bankers for their internship. The Top 3 in each area (including 1st year students) get Cash Prizes of INR 30,000, 20,000 and 10,000 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

2. How can I participate in the FLIP National Challenge? To participate in the FLIP National Challenge you need to follow the steps given below. Step 1: Register: Visit www.learnwithflip.com and register. You need to activate the registration by clicking on the link sent to your email. Step 2: Enroll for the Challenge: On the home page of the website, click on the Challenge link. This link will take you to a page where you can view details and enroll for the certification exam by paying an all inclusive exam fee of Rs.1500 only. Note that the enrolment process will close by 12th September 2011. Step 3: Book Examination date: Select the examination center of your choice from the list of available test centers across India, book the exam place, date and time according to your convenience. **Please remember: 26th September 2011 is the last date of writing the exam. choice, please book your seat as soon as possible. The exam is computer based and multiple choice, with negative marking. Step 4: Prepare for the exam:Either you can study on your own, or purchase FLIPs e-learning courses, which map onto the certifications. BUT DO PREPARE. THESE ARE RIGOROUS CERTIFICATIONS. Take the exam on the booked date/time at the selected center. You will get the scores immediately on completion. If you have cleared the certification, you will get the hard copy of the certificate within 15 working days of the results announced. Note that a booked date cannot be rescheduled it will involve a cancellation and re-booking. Step 5: Results will be announced on 03rd October on the website www.learnwithflip.com and only the top 10 candidates will be intimated through an email by FLIP. We will put up both the top ten certified candidates and a waitlist of 3 for each certification. This is in case a student in the top ten opts out or is disqualified. **Please mention your correct email id and contact number, which you use frequently, to ensure that you do not miss any communication from FLIP. Also please enter your name, as you wish it to be printed on your certificate. Step 6: Send the confirmation mail back to FLIP confirming your availability on the specified dates to attend the interviews, along with the scanned copy of the following documents. College Identity card A bonafide certificate from your Institute confirming that you are a 1st year/final year student of that institute. Your latest resume with a PP size photograph.

3. What are the eligibility criteria to participate in the Challenge? Any student who is pursuing a full time regular (Non-executive) post graduate program in management/MBA from any recognized Institute/University/Deemed university/Private University in India.

4. I am currently doing 1 year Executive MBA program from XYZ College. Can I participate in the FLIP National challenge? Sorry, you are not eligible for the FLIP National Challenge. 5. I am not an MBA student. Can I participate in the FLIP National Challenge? Sorry, you are not eligible for the FLIP National Challenge. See Above.

6. I am a final year student. Can I participate in more than one Certification? Yes, you can write more than one certification exam. BUT, the final list of top 10 participants will be unique for each Certification. If you are among the top 10 candidates in more than one, then you will have to choose the Certification you wish to be considered for. You will have to send an email within 12 hours of FLIPs communication of results to you. If not, FLIP will put your name in the Certification where you have a higher rank. If you have the same rank in two or more Certifications, then FLIP will put your name as per the following priority Treasury and Capital Markets Corporate Banking Products & Credit Analysis Trade Finance and Cash Management Services (CMS)

7. I have purchased the regular FLIP certification in Corporate Banking Products & Credit Analysis/ Trade Finance and Cash Management Services/Capital Markets/Finance & Banking Fundamentals India and I want to be considered for the Challenge. If you are eligible for the contest and have purchased, or purchased and written the regular FLIP certifications within the contest period, then please email us at support@learnwithflip.com mentioning your full name and FLIP user ID. We will then include you in the Challenge. If you have purchased the regular FLIP certification/training/combo in any of the applicable area before 09th August 2011, then you cannot participate in the same area. However, you can participate in a different area. For example, if you have purchased Trade Finance training before 9th August, you are not eligible to write the Trade Finance & Cash Management Challenge, but you can write the other two.

8. I have already purchased a regular training & certification combo and I want to participate in the Challenge, how can I do that? See above. Make sure you write the exam within the contest period.

Enrollment:
1. Is there any participation fee? Yes, you need to pay an exam fee of Rs.1500 (including service tax) for the certification exam. You can make the payment using Credit Card/Debit Card/ Internet Banking or Cash/Cheque/ DD. 2. How can I make the Cash/Cheque/DD payment? To make a cash/cheque/DD payment, select cash/cheque/DD as the mode of payment, while making your purchase on the website. Then, download the deposit slip. You need to deposit the cash/cheque/DD at the nearest Axis Bank Branch along with this deposit slip only. The Cheque/DD should be drawn in favour of Finitiatives Learning India Private Limited and a DD should be payable at Mysore.

3. Once I pay the examination fee, will I get any study material? You will not get any study material for the preparation. You will get the detailed Certification coverage, as well as a Diagnostic Test, which is similar to the Certification exam, to test your preparation. You can study by accessing your own study material, or purchase the relevant FLIP e-learning Courses.

4. When is the last date to enroll for the FLIP National Challenge? The last date to enroll for the FLIP National challenge is 12th September 2011. However, you should enroll as soon as possible, to get more time for your preparation, as well as ensure you get the exam slot of your choice. The last week/s typically get booked up first.

Examination:
1. What is the date of the examination? FLIP certification exams are computer based, multiple choice, and are run at proctored centres across India, 4 times/day, 6 days/week. You can choose the date and time according to your convenience. But remember,r the last date of writing the exam is 26th September 2011. Also note that we cannot guarantee you a specific slot. So please book at the earliest.

2. Where can I write the examination? The certification exam is computer based, and can be written at any of the test centers mentioned below. S. You can book a slot on a date, time and in a center of your choice, based on availability.

3. When is the last date to book the certification exam date? As soon as you enroll for the FLIP National Challenge you, should book the date. The booking starts from 9th August 2011. You can book any date from 09th August 2011 to 26th September 2011 for the exam. However, you should book the date at the earliest as the seats are allotted on first come first served basis. If you delay the booking, you may not get your preferred date/time/center.

4. Can I reschedule my certification date/time/venue? No, you cannot reschedule your examination date. Once a booking is done, if you cannot attend the exam for any reason, it is treated as a cancellation. There are no refunds for a cancellation. You will need to re-enroll and pay the exam fee again.

5. I have cleared the regular FLIP certification in Corporate Banking Products & Credit Analysis/ Trade Finance and Cash Management Services/Capital Markets/Finance & Banking Fundamentals India and I want to be considered for the Challenge. 6. Can I take the same Challenge certification more than once within the contest period? No, a participant can write the certification only once in a particular area, during the contest period. If she/he takes the same certification more than once, she/he will be disqualified/moved out of the FLIP Challenge.

7. When will I get my certificate? Certificates to all FLIP certified candidates will be sent within 15 working days of announcement of results of the FLIP National Challenge 2011.

PPIs and Cash Prizes:

1. Do I get a Job Guarantee? Read this carefully. At no time does FLIP offer any job guarantees on behalf of any other organization. What the FLIP Challenge offers, is an opportunity to participate in the three Challenge Partners recruitment process. 2. I am among top 3 in the shortlist. Am I eligible for the cash prize if I dont attend the PPIs? All shortlisted participants MUST attend the PPI with all three challenge partners. If a participant misses any of the PPIs, she/he also forfeits the cash prize AND place on the shortlist. Cash prizes will be given only after the PPI procedure gets over.
3. Once I clear the certification, will I get a chance to post my resume on JOBCONNECT?

Yes, once you clear the certification your resume will be forwarded to our endorsing partners, and you can post it on our JobConnect platform.

4.

I have passed the exam; do I get the interview guidance session and help in resume preparation?

We will try our best to guide all FLIP certified candidates. However, the interview guidance sessions and resume preparation is guaranteed for the final top ten certified candidates only.
What happens if there is a tie for any of the Top Ten positions? A tie-breaker is applied as per the following rules: 1. 2. Score upto one decimal point Number of correct answers/Total numbers of questions attempted. If a tie still exists, then the prize will be shared (for the top 3) and the next place will be skipped. FLIP Institute Championship:
1. What is the Institute championship? Is it different from the FLIP National Challenge? The Institute Championship is a part of the FLIP National Challenge 2011. The Institute with the best performing students will win the championship. The winning institute will get the Institute Championship Trophy. All the students of that institute will get access to a defined list of FLIPs award winning courses for one month, free of cost. The Institute also gets its own Hall of Fame on FLIPs website. 2. How will the winning Institute be decided? The winner will be decided on the basis of total points earned by students of the institute, during the Challenge. You can earn points for your college in the following manner: Scoring Criteria: Enroll for FLIP National Challenge 2011 and earn 10 points for your college. Clear the certification exam and earn an additional 100 points. Get 75% or above, earn FLIPs Badge of Excellence AND additional 200 points. Secure a position in the top 10 and earn an additional 300 points. This way you can score up to 610 points for your college, if you participate in the FLIP National Challenge and secure a position in TOP 10 in one of the subjects, scoring >= 75%. The Final score for each institute will be calculated on the basis of the above parameters.

FLIP Institute Championship - Participation:

3. How do I participate in the FLIP Institute Championship? To participate in the championship you need to enroll for the FLIP National Challenge 2011. Once you enroll , your college is automatically registered for the Institute Championship. 4. How can my college participate in the Championship? See Above. 5. How do I register my college for the championship and is there any registration fee for the college? See above. There is no registration fee for the college; a college gets automatically registered for the Championship as soon as one of its students enrolls for the FLIP National Challenge 2011. 6. What do I need to do to make my college win this championship? The institute with the higher points wins the Championship. Higher the participation, and better the performance of the students, higher is the chance of winning. Points are earned for Participation Clearing the exam Scoring 75% or above (Badge of Excellence) Securing a position in the TOP 10.

7. If I am in the top 10, how many points do I gather for my Institute? If you have scored 75% or above, you will earn 610 (10+100+200+300) points for your institute, else, 410 (10+100+300). 8. If I am in the top 10 in 2 categories, how many points do I earn for my Institute? If you secure positions in top 10 of two subjects you will score 1220 points, provided you score 75% or above in both the Certifications. For scoring, every enrollment is counted as unique. For example, if a student enrolls himself/herself for 2 Certifications in the FLIP Challenge, then the college will earn 20 (210) points for participation. 9. I am already a registered candidate; I don't remember what college name I mentioned during registration. Can I check/update this? If so where can I check/update this? Please send us an email at support@learnwithflip.com and we will update your details. 10.Will my previous FLIP certifications be counted for the Institute Championship? No. Only FLIP Challenge Certifications will be considered. If you have cleared any other regular FLIP certification, it will not be counted. You should have participated in FLIP Challenge 2011 and written the exam during the FLIP Challenge 2011.

What are the courses that I can take, if my college wins? Will I get to choose my course or FLIP will allot me the course? You will be given access to only one course from the list of courses. 3. How will I get access to these free courses? Once your institute wins the championship, we will contact your institute for the list of interested students. Please make sure that your name is in the list of interested candidates. Every candidate will have to indicate the name of the course s/he is interested in, along with the email ID and registered username with www.learnwithflip.com. Once the list is received from the college we will assign the respective courses to students. 4. Will I get any books or study material for the free course I choose? All the FLIP training material is in the form of e-learning modules that can be accessed online only. Summaries are provided in downloadable form. 5. In case more than one B-School scores the same points, how will the winner be decided? In such a case the winner will be decided on the basis of the following tie-breaking criteria in the given order: 1. Highest number of students in the Top 10 2. Highest number of students earning the Badge of Excellence (>=75%) 3. Highest number of students clearing the certifications.

6. Will my college or I get any certificate for this Championship? No. You will not get any Certificate, if your college wins. Your college will receive the prestigious FLIP Institute Championship trophy. However, if you have participated in the Challenge and cleared the exam, you will receive the certificate for the same. 7. I have cleared my exam and my college has won the Championship, will I get 2 certificates? No. You will receive only one certificate for the area that you have cleared the exam. See above. 8. How do I know which college has won or when will the result of championship be announced? Details of the participating institutes and their scores as on date, will be updated daily on the FLIP Challenge Buzz, at the FLIP Challenge site - see www.learnwithflip.com. The final result will be announced along with the results of FLIP National Challenge 2011.
