INTRODUCTION "Reach for your heart" was written as a reminder for myself and others to take care of our heart and acknowledge the precious gift of life. We always tend to take our blessings for granted and we forget that the main purpose of our life on earth is to worship the Creator. Unveiling our heart to reach our true being and ultimately fulfill our purpose to become successful in this life and the hereafter. 1. GET CLOSER TO GOD If there is one goal that one must strive to reach, this is a priceless one! Getting closer to God should be our primary goal. The divine entity in control of the universe, is available 24/7, at anytime, in any respectful place, understands all languages and will love you and always be there for you. How great is this! We want to feel supported, guided, nurtured, and provided for in goodness. This is a wonderful feeling to know that God is always there for you whenever you need. This is an opportunity not to be missed! It is funny how we can make goals for all aspects of our life (finances, work, health) and we forget the spiritual goal, while we know the certitude of death can strike at any time! Getting closer to God is also a mean to find out what He expects from you. He is granting you various gifts such as good health, an understanding mind, unique abilities

and then it is up to you to release your genius! 2. BEWARE THE EGO As influence grows, the danger to look out for is ego pride. There is nothing to be proud of, as all our power or influence depends on God's good will. The reason why Satan was banished was due to his pride. Pride is a defect we need to seek refuge from. One should not feel powerful, as one little insect, one small disease can make us helpless immediately. It is important to remove any gram of pride from our heart. We are only alive because of the Creator. Our blessings depend upon the Creator. If tomorrow, God wants to empty the air of its oxygen, we will all die. Our souls and our hearts are in His hands .We all depend on Him for our survival, our thinking, our feeling and our breathing. Without the Creator's support, man is helpless. The day God decides to end the world, no one will be able to do anything, whatever his rank, status, power or influence. We will all be left to ourselves, brought into account for our deeds. No time to waste, multiply the good deeds! Turn back to the Creator, seek His help, repent, ask for forgiveness, ask Him to remove the defects from your hearts, ask Him to protect you from the evil of your soul and give space to the light of faith. Man must acknowledge that he is powerless without God's support. Only the Creator is sustaining the creation, only the Creator is granting us our blessings, only the Creator is in control of what is happening to us. It is foolishness to believe that we are in control of our lives. We are only in control to the extent that God is allowing us to control. Should He wishes, all our blessings will be removed. How ungrateful and arrogant man is!

Self-sufficiency, power, honor, greatness, they all belong to the Lord. Man is only a temporary custodian. A temporary body, a temporary traveller on earth, where he is given daily blessings as a test. A test of patience. How long is the test? An average of 70 years, give or take. Taking into account the amount of time we spend sleeping, the years are dramatically reduced. We are given the gift of life for a short amount of time. What are we making of this gift? Why are we denying His favours? Why aren't we acknowledging the All-Powerful and the All-Mighty? Why aren't we honoring Him and worshipping Him as He should? Why are we so heedless? Today is another day, another chance to wake up! Another chance to regret, to repent, to forgive, to be thankful, to ask for forgiveness, to ask for guidance, to turn to Him for help, to seek His protection in all matters, to love His Creation, to soften our hearts. Remembering the Creator makes us humble and mellows our heart. Just contemplate the Creation. The perfection of the DNA, the human being, the function of the heart, how the faithful beatings are keeping us alive each second!!! What about the expanding universe, the galaxies, the planets, how small is the human being compared to the whole universe??? How many living beings are on earth; millions of animals, insects, birds, fish, humans??? What kind of amazing, incredible, immense power is able to sustain this Creation, without even mentioning what we do not see with our eyes!!!! Just thinking about the numerous creatures in the universe and that God knows even when a leaf fells on the ground, is mind blowing! You want to get closeness to the Creator! You want to be His beloved slave! You want to be His pious worshipper! You want to be in the winning team in this life and the next!

3. BEWARE THE DISTRACTIONS This is what life is made of! Life is made of endless distractions to turn you away from the true purpose. The easy option is to follow those distractions and the crowd. There is no doubt that following the mainstream makes you feel safe. Just do what everyone else is doing and you will be OK. Choosing to stand out, to reflect, to take another course, to choose your own path is what makes the difference. If the mainstream is not following the path of truth, why should you follow them? It would make sense to seek guidance to the Higher Power, the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth to guide you to the right path. As darkness opposes light and as evil opposes good, there is a wrong way and the true way. You do not want to lose the only chance you have in the game of life. You want certainty that you are truthful to God. The only way to acquire this certainty is to ask the Allmighty to guide you to the true way. Then, there is no confusion possible. There is only one true way! Certainty makes all the difference. When you know for certain that you are following the path of truth, it gives you confidence, serenity, calmness and peace in your heart. You trust the Allmighty with your life. Who is the loser and the winner? the loser is the one who does not follow his heart, his true purpose, refusing to acknowledge the signs and the warnings! The winner in this life and the next is the one who has put his trust in the Creator. Only those who trust the Creator will win, and this is the ultimate reality. No one can hide the enlightening and eternal truth. Why the Creator has sent so many prophets and messengers? Why mankind refuses to bow to the truth? Man is weak, man is forgetful, man needs reminders.

4. LISTEN TO YOUR HEART There is something amazing about our heart. It is a blood pumping machine, it has neurons like the brain, and it is our access door to the divine awareness. We cannot connect with God with our rational and practical conscience. We connect to God with a feeling, with our heart, it is more than uttering words, it is a silent communication of the senses with the divine. There is something magical about the prayer when it is done with love and dedication. The prayer is your private communication with the Lord, no intermediary, no disturbance, just you and the Lord, how extraordinary this is! It is a private audience with the King of the Universe! You can unveil your inner thoughts, ask your requests, seek forgiveness and guidance, repent, it is a blissful and personal moment. We want to soften our heart, we want to experience the wonderful blessings of love, mercy, empathy, gratitude, humanity and divine love. Listen to your heart, your intuition, your divine light of guidance. When we purify our heart, our being improves along with our actions. The purer the heart, the greater the divine awareness, and this is how the prophets were leading their people. They appealed to their heart: they loved their people,they wanted to help them and provide them with guidance. The soft heart is the most sensitive and receptive. Often the heart changes, it can get inflamed or passionate, or we can have a "change of heart". The heart typically reflect our feelings and we want to

feel our Lord, we want to feel the Creator, we want to connect with the Creation and we want to interact to bring positive changes. The intuitive intelligence of the purified heart guides to the right direction. 5. REMEMBER DEATH Often the death of relatives or a close family member act as a reminder of the transitory aspect of life. Although we know that death will happen one day, we avoid thinking about it, ignoring it for our own convenience and comfort. The sheer fear of death, discovering our book of records, facing the Creator, the pangs of the soul living the body are not heartwarming, but it can help us to stay focused! Some people have even gone as far as sitting in an empty grave to get the feeling of certainty. It would certainly put things into perspective. An interesting experience indeed! Just sitting in the empty grave by yourself, smelling the dusty and earthy soil, looking around at the emptiness of the walls, the darkness, the silence, the solitude, until the reality sinks in, this is the end of the life journey! A good time to reflect on the time spent, the accomplishments, the goals, the relationships, the connection with the Lord, etc. Excellent time to review your goals and reassess your current situation! If today was the day, are you ready to face the consequences of your actions? Are you ready to face the truth? Are you proud of your achievements? Have you fulfilled your purpose in life? Were you dutiful to the Creator? Did you listen to the warnings and the signs?

6.SEEK KNOWLEDGE This is one major step for spiritual development. There is no excuse for the lack of knowledge, the internet, webinars, You Tube, an amazing source of information is available at our fingertips. So, if you want to follow the right way, ask God to guide you, as ultimately only God guides whom He wills. Reading about the lives of the prophets and the pious predecessors is a great way to get inspired in life. All the prophets were sent to teach us, to guide us, to give us a role model to follow. The people we need to take as an example have to be the best human beings on earth, so we might better ourselves, in our character, in our dealings with the people, in our relationship with God. Life is a learning process, where each experience serves as a meaningful example for us to take a lesson from it, as everything happens for a reason. Enjoy the learning journey to enlightenment! 7. MAXIMIZE YOUR TIME Our time is counted (tick-tack, tick-tack) and there is only 24 hours in a day. How do you make the most of your time? How do you find the balance to give everything its due: your body, your partner, your family, your kids, your friends, your work, your entertainment, your learning and your Lord? There is a time for everything and it is a balancing act!

Make sure that your time is not wasted in worthless activities, as you do not want to live with regrets. The past is gone, the future is ahead, and the present is to be enjoyed. Multiply the good deeds and give time to your Lord. Now technology is a great time saver! No need to walk miles to get knowledge, just google it! You can get your purchases delivered at home, we travel faster than ever before, we work internationally, we communicate globally within minutes. The world has become smaller and information is all around us for our own benefit. Therefore, make the most of your time in goodness! CONCLUSION You only get one chance at the game of life, so make sure that you play your cards right. There is no second chance, so we need to make the right decision. Seeking help from your Lord, following God's guidelines is the best way to ensure a successful end in this life and the next.
