A very good morning to Madam Mazni and all the students present to this music workshop today that

organises by music society. First of all, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Koy Ke Chun, the vice president of music society. Today workshop is mainly about classical periods music and composers. Therefore, I would like to share about The Mozart Effect with all of you. First, I will briefly explain about The Mozart Effect. My second point will be scientific explanations for the Mozart Effect. Lastly, I would like to touch on the effects of music towards animals, plants and our life.

Now, I will briefly explain about what is the Mozart Effect. Mozart Effect represents the use of music and art to improve the health of families and communities. Besides, music also uses to improve in memory, creativity and studies. Music also used for therapeutic for mental and physical disorders and injuries. Therefore, Mozart Effect shows the importance of music towards health, education and well-being. Now, let us move to my second point, the scientific explanations for Mozart Effect.

In this point, I would like to divide it into three. They are neurological basis, psychological basis and sensory stimulation. Due to Neurological Basis, 29 out of 36 patients showed the signification of improvement by suffered fewer after listening to Mozarts music. Although there is no definitive results have been yet attained but scientists are trying to develop the reasons why music might effect on intelligence. According to Norman M. Weinberger in Psychological Basis, learn to listen to the changes of pitch in music can actually helps to promote ones ability to pronounce or sound out new words. Besides, Sensory Stimulation is also one of the scientific explanations for Mozart Effect. Our mental function can be facilitate and improve while we are listening to certain types of music as stimulation excites our brain to propagate more synapses between brain and cells. By the way, many people express an increased ability of concentration while certain background music is played. Background music that you can listen now is one of the music which may help us to be more concentrate while studying. I had finished my second point; let us move on to my last point.

Last but not least, music also affects towards animals, plants and our life. Experiments show that the right balance of rhythm and melody do helps animals to relax, hens to lay more eggs and cows to produce more milk. According to the news The Moozart

Effect, music not only help cows to produce more milk but also produce milk with higher levels of healthy fats, proteins and sweeter taste. Experiments on rats also showed that the rats that exposed to classical music had a physically more developed brain than the rats that exposed to rock music. The effect of music towards plants depends on the rhythm of music but not melody because plants are living but not thinking organisms. Due to the Mozart Effect, music not only affects our life but also makes us to perform better in life. Albert Einstein is one of the most brilliant persons in history who was a violinist too. He said before that I know that the most joy in my life has come to me from my violin. This has been one of the reasons why he was so smart. He found solutions for complex equations and problems every time he played violin. Therefore, music does can make us to be smarter and think wisely as we can relax our mind while we are playing or listening to music.

I had briefly explained about the Mozart Effect, the scientific explanations and effects of music towards animals, plants and our life. In a nutshell, music does bring us lot of benefits. As we have lack of time today, you can get video about the Mozart Effect by Dr Glenn Wilson after this. Thats all from me today. Thank You!
