As a New York State Office of Mental Health Article 31 Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, the Community Clinic of Jefferson County serves a current population of more than 1,200 individuals and employs a diverse professional staff including mental health counselors, social workers, nurses, nurse practitioners and physicians. It opened its doors in July 2011 to meet the mental and behavioral health of Northern New York residents. An important community resource, as patient needs evolve, CCJC strives to implement new and innovative programs. CCJCs comprehensive treatment options include individual therapies, couples/family therapy, group therapy, psychopharmacologic treatment, and forensic evaluations. The Clinic also offers Recurring Treatment Groups for anger management, coping skills development, stress management and depression management. -30-
