Improving the quality of pediatric intensive care unit by developing and implementing a training program Romnia 2013-2015. Estimated implementation duration : 24 month Applicants should be NGOs in Romania in partnership with international experts / Swiss (either by forming a consortium or through the use of international experts / Swiss participation in international networks / Swiss and others). The overall objective of the intervention is to improve the quality and increase the access to pediatric intensive care for children in Romania (particularly from marginalized groups). The project aims to increase the capacity of teams of doctors and nurses in regional hospitals with pediatric intensive care including management of non-traumatic cases with complex trauma, rescue techniques, toxicology, dialysis and hemofiltration, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, major trauma. The project will develop a plan and a training curriculum in pediatric intensive care. Training materials to be produced may include translations of international literature, clinical practice guidelines and procedures manuals. The project will strengthen existing training centers (physical or virtual) will develop clinical guidelines and procedure for selected topics based on international practice.
