Workshop for theater people, technicians for the programming of audio, lighting and video through software.
held by Michele Cremaschi

The workshop will teach the use of software tools and programming produced exclusively for Mac platform. The choice of software - above all, QLab by Figure53 (http:// gure53.com) - is based primarily on their features, then on the ability to interface with each other to create a single system of control, and nally with an eye to the costs of licensing, preferring wherever possible, the solution with no or low license fees and, if a choiche in this direction is possible, opensource.

Abstract
This workshop will outline a proposal for a hardware / software platform that allows programming and control of the entire technical system for live performance - audio, lighting and video. Certainly not the only possible platform, but experience has shown this to be functional and reliable.

Timetable
two days, 7 hours per day.

Requirements
Can attend the workshops theater techs, multimedia artists, actors typically with a basic technical training, and

with basic knowledge of MacOsX. Each participant is required to bring his own mac. The workshop will provide the various software, and license to use the software QLab for the entire duration. Each participant is asked to bring with him sound tracks, video tracks, and light plan of a show technically driven by him. During the workshop, as a practical example, each participant will program the software infrastructure for the show, assisted by the workshop teacher and the participants themselves.

Where
Workshop needs to be organized in a room with tables, chairs and electric plugs for the number of participants (maximum 20). Are also helpful: Projector sound system dmx lighting system

Who's who
Workshop is held by Michele Cremaschi, actor and computer scientist. The passion for both areas led him to stage shows in which the artistic demands put a strain on the usual technical solutions, which have to reinvent deeply. The result is hardware / software architecture that allows, with a very small investment, a reliable system to control all the technical variables involved in the productions. And with the advantage of scenic solutions would not dare to be obtained with the usual technical architecture usually available. The InItinere theatre resdience is a production and training site within the walls of a medieval monastery. Was born with the support of the Consorzio del Parco Regionale dei Colli di Bergamo, the contribution of Fondazione Cariplo through ETRE grant, thanks to the coordination of Retroscena Artist Association.. The residence can host, on request, the workshop presented here.
