Head Coach of the Squad Program @ Jets Gymnastics

As head coach of the Squad Program at Jets Gymnastics you are responsible for the development, progression and performance of ALL members in the program.

Key Responsibilities

Adheres to Jets Club & Teaching Principles (See over) Maintains Safety at All times Works across other programs to assist in the BUSINESS aspects of the club (Mini Jets, Schools, Parties etc) Manages all program coaches and ensures all are following prescribed plans Manage the program numbers & maintain staff student ratios a. Maximum 10 squad members per 200 regular members (Squad Member = >4hrs/wk) b. Minimum Squad size = 8 members Responsible for the progression of gymnasts through the State Levels System Responsible for the progression of gymnasts through the Developmental Levels Program Communicate Regularly with all Parents a. Conduct regular parent meetings both individually and for the group (2 individual & 2 group/yr) b. Complete bi-annual gymnast reports Plan appropriately for each Squad Group st a. Complete individual goal setting plan and submit to the Manager by January 31 2013 b. Conduct quarterly assessment and review of goal setting c. Set the gymnasts level and complete the prescribed routine plan meeting all club requirements 3 months prior to competition season. d. Devise group and individual training schedules i. Ensure plan is periodized aiming for maximum results at major competitions ii. Advise Manager of any changes in gymnasts schedules via formal communication process. (Includes informing manager if training hours are reduced through injuries sustained) e. Devise and instruct skill development program including numbers of routines, goal setting f. Plan and instruct strength & conditioning programs g. Plan holiday training schedules as per holiday training policy Plan competition schedule & attend all competitions a. Communicate competition schedule to all gymnasts, coaches & parents st b. In conjunction with the Manager, manage uniform purchases 4 months prior to 1 competition c. In conjunction with the Manager, Manage competition entries Mentor a minimum of 1 Senior Coach and 1 Junior Coach throughout the year a. Assist 1 coach to achieve next qualification Conduct 1-2 workshops (minimum) for all Staff of Jets Gymnastics Plan and coordinate end of year group display (including any costumes required) Plan end of year Squad Break Up

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Report all accidents to the Manager Follow up all accidents the next day and provide a report to the Manager st Maintain qualification and updating (includes registration paid before January 1 ) Ensures the Gym is completely set up prior to class Attends all staff meetings
