Laying and welding of 20" NB, 6.4 mm thick pipes in the pipe alley and tank farm area as per the specified procedure. The pipe welding and laying rate shall be basis Per Running Meter for the total laid length. It shall be inclusive of transportation and laying of pipes, bends, reducer, fittings and other materials, beveling of raw-cut ends of pipes and bends, welding (pipes, miter bends, T-joints, reducer, flanges etc), fabrication of all pipe work (except items which has been covered under separate items) and Radiography of 10% joints. Job also includes nut bolt servicing and facilitating connection to the tank / existing old pipelines / hookup points at no extra cost. Detailed scope and specification of job has been separately covered under Fabrication & erection, Laying, Welding headings. Hydro testing is not in the scope of this item and covered under a separate item.

Cutting and removal of existing 20"old pipeline sections along with valves, vent points, drain points, etc with all it's attachments complete, from the site. Job includes cold cutting using hacksaw / gas cutting of pipes in 6 meter average lengths as advised by HPCL (hot work will be permitted only in fabrication yard / out side pipe alley), servicing nuts and bolts and isolating valves & fittings wherever required. Rates shall be per running meter basis for dismantled line length and shall also include lifting, removing, transporting the pipes, valves, spool pieces and other attached fittings to MPSPL yard and properly stacking them in assorted manner at place shown by MPSPL.

Payment will be made per running meter of welding length basis.

NO 3 16 Welding of Corrosion pad for 20" Dia line. Pipe pieces for corrosion pad shall be provided by HPCL. Typical drawing attached. Rate shall be per pad basis.
NO 250 17 Applying Denso / Raychem coating tape by wrapping on Pipelines as per manufacturer specifications at bends, dyke walls, road crossings or where ever required. The surface shall be shot blast cleaned, applied with primer and then tape shall be applied. Rate shall be per Sq. Mtrs of pipe surface basis and shall include providing all consumables, skilled manpower for applying primer & tape COAT and arranging security for company supplied materials etc all complete. Denso / Raychem tape & Primer will be supplied by HPCL.

18 Road Crossing : Road cutting, Excavation and Restoration of asphalted road (Approx. 12 meter length, 1.5 meter width and 1.5 meter depth) to facilitate laying of new pipes. Job includes restoring the same to the original level by backfilling, compacting, asphalting as per the specification (230 mm Rubble Soling, Two layer of WBM each 75 mm thick, asphalting 50 mm thick & 12mm thick seal coat), to the satisfaction of the HPCL site Engineer. Job on Lumps sum per road crossing basis. Payment for pipe welding, hydrotesting, radiography etc. will be made as per line No. 1
NO 15 19 Hydro testing : Hydrotest of 20 dia pipelines on running meter basis as per detail scope of job and Technical specifications. Water can be taken from HP hydrant line. Rate shall be inclusive of all spading, de-spading, water pumping, pressurization, removal of spades and final hook up of line with tanks and other lines.
RMT 1500 20 ABRASIVE BLASTING AND PAINTING : Abrasive blasting (Cu-Slag) to SA 2 and painting with airless spray system to pipeline as per detail scope of job and technical specifications (as per system 1) attached with this tender. Payment will be made per square meter of pipe surface basis. SQM 2400 21 HAND TOOL CLEANING AND PAINTING : Hand tool cleaning and painting with brush application to pipeline as per details technical specifications (as per system 2) attached with this tender. This will be done only in those places where blast cleaning is not possible or it is advised by HPCL. Payment will be made per square meter of pipe surface basis. SQM 500
22 Excavation : Scope covers excavation of any type of soil excluding hard rock in foundations, for cutting & restoration of dyke walls and specified locations, up to maximum excavation depth of 1.5 meters as per advice of HPCL. Item covers dressing the sides and bottom, compaction and if required, layered restoration with the same excavated soil (with water flooding) at no extra cost. All excavated / excess soil generated under this order shall be disposed off out side refinery premises at any dumping yard, identified by the contractor. Excavation shall be carried out, taking precautions for the underground utilities, if any. The job also includes bailing out water if encountered, shoring, strutting, backfilling and compacting the excavated earth in the sides of foundations. Rates per cubic meter of actual excavated quantity inclusive of all cost.

23 RUBBLE SOLING : Rubble Soling shall be done with 230 mm and down size stone for sub bases in pipe support foundation and where ever required. The job includes hand packing, filling the interstices with chips, spalls and binding with grit and selected murrum, watering, compacting by hand ramming. Compacted thickness of rubble soling has to be 230mm. Rates on actual compacted quantities in Square Meter basis.

24 PCC (1:3:6) : Providing and laying PCC (1:3:6) with cement, coarse sand of minimum grade II and 40 mm downsize graded stone metal aggregate with smooth surface finish after compacting the surface. PCC work shall be carried out with proper compaction either by ramming or with the help of immersion type mechanical vibrating equipments as per site conditions. It shall be cured for min.14 days by 25 mm water flooding / wet gunny bags. Rate is inclusive of all material, manpower, machine mixing, shuttering, compacting, curing etc complete.

25 RCC (1:1.5:3) : Providing and laying RCC 1:1.5:3 concrete for footing using 20 mm and down size graded crushed aggregate including providing and fixing necessary steel/plywood shuttering, scaffolding, machine mixing, compacting by mechanical vibrators, curing, etc complete. Concrete shall conform to IS 456-Latest edition. Party to carry out required (7 days and 28 days) cube test at approve lab at his own cost and report to be submitted to HPCL. Rate shall be excluding the cost of steel reinforcement , which will be paid under a separate item. (Make of Cement has to be ACC, Birla, Ambuja or UltraTech make for RCC and PCC job)

26 REINFORCEMENT STEEL : Supplying, fabricating, and placing in position TMT reinforcement bar conforming to IS 1786 grade FE 415 / FE 500 including cutting, bending & supply and binding with 18 SWG annealed binding wire. Payment shall be made as per reinforcement drawings and as per theoretical weights only. Authorized chairs, spacers and laps will be considered for payment. Weight of binding wire shall not be considered for payment. Payments of 40 mm dia rods to be provided at the top of the foundation will be made under this item. Reinforcement steel has to be SAIL / TATA TISCON make. Party has to submit manufacturers test report. Samples of reinforcement will be sent to Lab and cost of testing will be borne by vendor.

27 SAND FILLING : Supplying and filling locally available good quality river sand in layers of 150 mm thick including watering and compacting till maximum compaction is achieved as directed by Engineer In Charge. Compacted volume shall be considered for payment.

28 BRICK MASONRY WORK : Providing and constructing brick masonry 230mm thick and above in CM 1:5 using first quality bricks of Class designation 50 (minimum) and conforming to IS- 1077-1986 including providing all openings and projections , raking the joints to 1 cm deep, scaffolding, soaking of bricks in water prior to use and curing etc complete as per specifications for foundation and super structure.

29 PLASTERING : Providing and laying average 12 mm thick sand faced cement plaster in single coat in CM 1:4 . Rate shall include providing necessary scaffolding, chicken wire mesh at all joints of brick and concrete surfaces, with a minimum overlap of 150 mm in all directions, providing drip mould and curing complete. No extra payment shall be made for additional thickness if required to achieve perfect line and level.

30 STRUCTURAL STEEL WORK : Supplying, erecting and fixing in position Pre- fabricated structures as per site requirement (Beams, Columns, Trusses, Plates etc. ) with Ms rolled sections of SAIL / TATA TISCON or equivalent make at all elevations for pipe support and platforms using structural steel sections conforming to IS:2062, including cutting, welding / bolting, supply of bolts/nuts/washers, foundation bolt etc., complete as per drawings with all materials and labour complete. (No welding is permitted at site without a written consent from EIC). The rate quoted shall include cost of bolts, nuts, washers, foundation bolt welding and electrodes and any other consumables required for completing the work. The Design of the pipe support / platform shall be Provided by HPCL. Scope shall also cover cleaning the structural surfaces with wire brush and painting the structure with following coats of HPCL approved colour:
A) One coat of zinc phosphate primer (40 micron DFT) B) One coat of primer HB MIO (50 micron DFT) C) Two coats of Synthet ic Enamel (25 micron DFT / Coat). Rates inclusive of all complete. Billing on per Metric Ton basis, on standard weight calculation based on actual measurement at site, excluding the fasteners.
