The son of Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono resigned from the Indonesian parliament on February 14th, after he was widely criticized for his absence at a house plenary session earlier in the week. Ibas, putra Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, mengumumkan pengunduran dirinya pada hari Kamis, hanya dua hari setelah ia tertangkap kamera melewatkan rapat pleno rumah setelah ia menandatangani daftar hadir yang diperlukan untuk anggota parlemen.

"Saya dengan ini menyatakan pengunduran diri saya sebagai anggota parlemen untuk memfokuskan seluruh waktu saya dan energi pada Partai Demokrat," kata Ibas dalam konferensi pers di kantor partai di DPR.
