1.Web based Design

Not yet formally set standards by which one is a good presentation, but in practice has crystallized a certain criteria that make a good web based presentation, and user friendly. It needs to improve business and needs to be viewed as a way to communicate with consumers. Some of the things you should consider when making the web based presentation are as follows: Loading time is the time required for a visitor at a speed of 28,800 bps load the home page of the presentation. While some have high-speed access to the Internet, it is always important to keep in mind this lowest limit. There was an unequivocal relationship between speed page load and percentage drop of potential visitors. According to a survey conducted by BCG (Boston Consulting Group), the minimum number of potential visitors, only 7% of them, would retreat from the examination if needed to download it for 7 seconds or less, 30% of them would retreat if the time is 8 seconds and 70% would retreat if the required time is more than 12 seconds. To avoid unnecessarily long loading pages, it is advisable to avoid excessive use of GIF and JPG files or their reduction to the optimum level. It is also advisable to reduce the number of colors (pictures can look beautiful even when they contain a palette of only 16 colors) or just avoid the big picture. Should be limited to 20kb Home Page and avoided a great logo or animation. It is better to use this space to provide useful information, because one presentation and should serve to do just that. Navigation The ease of navigation (it can be linear or nonlinear and these types are used depending on which is the aim of the presentation) is very important and it is necessary to include access to key areas of presentation on each side and that the user can obtain the desired by using maximum of three mouse clicks. Visibility The presentation should be as lucid. It is advisable to avoid home page that indefinitely." Although the site visitors which wants some information they are going to read and interpret the same to the end.
3

Home page should not be longer than 3 sizes 14 "monitor. Much more useful, instead of prolongers home page, visitors offer links to other pages. Functionality vs. Design Pay attention to the functionality and design. Web layout and visual presentation should reflect the professional nature of the presentation. Each presentation can be functional; however, the successful presentation has a very attractive appearance, which leaves the visitors the impression that we are talking about something really is quality. Linguistic style and quality of information A professionally done web presentation should also provide information to visitors on the plain, universally recognizable way. It is necessary to pay attention to the style of language and the quality of information that visitors provide. They must always be checked. Also, we should pay attention to the spelling mistakes. There are a huge number of websites that contain errors of this type. The appearance of the text speaks of professionalism (or lack thereof), paying attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement. Graphics, typography and color It is necessary to equalize the graphics, typography and color. However, when making a presentation is necessary to pay attention to the use of color (due to different symbolism in different areas) and fonts (you need to use it more accessible for the safety of fonts that all users will be able to clearly see the text). New Technology While opportunities become virtually unlimited design, it is advisable to minimize the effects of multimedia to a minimum, for several reasons: using lots of graphic elements, the space that could be used for informational content; many colors can distract visitors with content that is for it really is vital; lot of sound, animation and graphics will slow down the loading of pages, which, as noted earlier, may provide the potential
4

visitors to give up some of the presentation. And finally, it is a newer technology used; it will be less number of audience because not all users are able to use the new technology as soon as it occurs.

Updated it It is advisable to constantly refresh the content, i.e. the update. This presentation suggests the visitors to keep returning to them knowing that each time waiting for something new and interesting. Should not be "bothered" enough is just one ask for their permission. Welcome Avoid phrases like "Welcome to our site" and repeating the names of firms and exaggerated ostentation. Home Page, as well as all other pages of the site, you need to start text is provocative, appealing and sends a message about the content contained on the site. Titles and introductory texts, the visitor has to say what it is that if he gets offered to read the contents. I vs. You Avoid excessive use of words such as "we, us, me, my," and called the company. These words refuse visitors. Far away but instead it is more advisable to use words such as "you, you". At one site should be on every "I" pronouns to come at least 4-5 "you" pronouns. About Us On the Home page in no way should be available data on firms, its location or owner. Such information should be put in a special section, "About Us" (About Us) and such data will read only those visitors who really want to know. No need to get that kind of information found on the Home page. Web awards Also, it should avoid logos and banners that represent the obtained Web awards. Most of these awards are dubious credibility, and visitors do not
5

mean much. They have no practical purpose, and given the fact that only takes place on the site, it would be far better to take advantage of the information that visitors will really mean. Hit counter should be avoided hit counter. These things are very much out of fashion and often annoying and distracting. Also, counters are especially becoming useless because most visitors really does not matter what the alleged number of visitors to the site where they are located. External Links On the home page should be avoided in the external links. It is as if they are in the office or shop, a door leading to the competition. If the links have already been there, should they be on the page that was "buried" deep within the site, so that when visitors come to see it, but the most important pages. Faulty Links If there are links to the presentation, it is regularly checked their validity. Faulty links give the impression of professionalism site owners and annoy visitors. Contact if the presentation of a page of contact addresses, and it has become totally unthinkable that does not exist, be sure to give complete information about addresses and contact persons. Visitors must, above all, trusted source. This cannot be achieved if the company strives to remain anonymous. For this reason, it is recommended: instead use postal Street and number, instead of voice mail and leave your phone number, fax number and specify the name of a contact person. And be sure to write your e-mail address, not e-mail your webmaster. If you pay someone by email, it is advisable to respond as soon as possible. Otherwise, the person who has contacted you will be seen as unprofessional. Images missing Avoid missing images. It is not a rare case that even the professional Web
6

sites often happens that the image appears instead of just an empty space. Under Construction / in the phase of It is advisable to apply a presentation searchers but it could not do if she is not completely finished. On a professional website in no way be allowed to find a notice such as "Under Construction" / "under construction" on any site. A small number of visitors will come back later if you see a notice of this type, and is therefore better not to have a site but have not even finished. Of what use is it the visitor, except that it annoys and wasting his time? Each page that is located on the site must have some purpose. Browser Opportunities Internet readers (browser) is distinctive because it is necessary to adjust the presentation to all readers. It is also necessary to check the presentation looks at which resolution screen. FAQ It is very important to identify the most common questions visitors ask. It is recommended that the presentation is a special page called FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) with answers to such questions in order to eliminate the very beginning all the standard concerns of visitors. Sitemap If, despite the best navigation visitors still have problems, it is advisable to offer them a site map to make it easier to find what interests them. This is especially important if you navigate to the presentation is not the best regulated.

Multilingualism it is recommended that in addition to the use of the national language and English yet at least, because otherwise the number of users will be limited
7

to the national.

Originality Do not copy content from other Web sites. Thus it may be no reason to violate copyright law, and it is always better to be genuine.

Help and finally, if visitors do not understand some of the services that it offers the site, you need to provide them with help, so it is recommended that they contain a page that has a purpose.

Conclusion:

As you can see analyzing the web site of Mashable Company we found out with respect of our criterias that they have a very well organized web site. There is a few criteria which they dont have as the I vs. You which you can see the described sentences at the top of this research paper (look page 4). Also there is no Hit Counter mainly for our group is important that every web site especially this one should has the basic hit counter reason is that if you see the number of visitor on that page if it is small you will not trust to that web page but if it is a lot like in our case (7 million per month visiting the Mashable.com) than surely we can trust them. Also the bad thing is that they dont have a Multilingualism which is important for those who dont understand very well the language in this case English. Also there is a good thing that they dont have any faulty links, image missing, or under constructing process. Everything is working properly with good quality of organizing, controlling, graphics, and support solutions.
