Thales draws on more than 20 years of experience in onboard electronic warfare equipment. The company has been conducting fully digital antenna developments since 2003 and now proposes an advanced digital anti-jam architecture that significantly outperforms legacy anti-jam solutions. As part of the new generation of fully digital GPS anti-jam solutions, TopShield offers significant improvements in performance at comparable cost:  rejection of more jamming sources  higher availability of satellite signal  greater tolerance to antenna array installation constraints (uneven ground plane) TopShield performs both null steering to cancel multiple jammers and beam forming to optimise satellite power using a fast STAP technique (Space Time Adaptive Processing).
