Troubleshooting ========================== Most display issues can be resolved by performing one of the following steps: a) Upgrade your computer's video card driver by identifying the video card type and following instructions on the manufacturer's website; b) Install the latest version of Microsoft DirectX by following the instructions at http://www.microsoft.com/directx/; and c) Try starting the game while holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard. Most sound issues can be resolved as follows: * Upgrade your computers sound card drivers by identifying the driver type and following instructions on the manufacturers website; If you are having trouble activating 3-D Hardware Acceleration in the options window, you should first try switching your video display to 800X600 16 bit color mode. If you still cannot activate 3-D Hardware Acceleration, it is likely that your video card does not support it. ========================== 4. Therefore, if the color quality is a problem under your normal color settings, try full screen mode. * Use 3-D hardware acceleration The 3-D hardware acceleration checkbox will allow you to determine whether the game uses your video card to accelerate graphics processing. If you have a newer video card this may speed up the running of the game. If you are experiencing display problems, you may want to try turning 3-D hardware acceleration off. If you are having trouble activating 3-D Hardware Acceleration, you should first try switching your video display to 800X600 16 bit color mode.
