Charitable Humanitarian Organisation in Cambodia by expats Course Syllabus Teacher: Chy Sokna Office Office Hours Office Phone E-mail Class Hours Prerequisite I. Course Description This course aims at enhancing illiteracy poor villages in Cambodia and as well promoting the standard of education in Cambodia. Through this course, the students can speak English to foreigners and be a bright future and good job and an aim to reduce the poverty in Cambodia by providing this course which needs 40 hours to complete. Our goal provides all the inexperienced students with knowledge and provides scholarships to those who are good at English. II. Organisation School principals are scheduled based on the state school. We pick up students home from school and divide them into group studies----morning class and evening class. About 70 students study lower level and higher level. The students learn by hard and have monthly test once a month to measure their ability how many percent of the students can communicate with foreigner who volunteers from abroad. III. Course Objectives To provide the students the basic skills of language communication. To promote the human resources to be potential and to be capable. To provide the student code of conducts. To pick up the students to study abroad. To reduce illiteracy in Cambodia. To reduce poverty by providing knowledge and can have bright future and good job. Physical Exercise The students do it on every Thursday a week. Arts of drawing and painting Because the students prefer painting so to cater the need of them the teacher gives them to do it once a month. Behaviors and attitudes We cant give the students the real score so it bases on the teacher evaluates. Hygiene It bases on the teacher evaluation. The teachers always check the students books on every Friday and give them back on Monday the first of the week Monthly test, quiz, and homework The teacher often provide homework and quiz once a week and monthly test is provided in the middle of the month or at the end of the month. Total marks will be totally calculated (homework, quiz, and monthly test) Active participation during study time It bases on the teacher observation Attendance The teacher checks attendance every day but some students have absence a lot, and some have casual absence so the marks will be graded: No absences Two absences Three absences Four absences More absences A+ A B C F

Tentative grading will be set and try to adapt to the students real condition. Some students have financial problems so they need to earn money to support their family and some students have sickness and many more. VII. Classroom Rules of Conduct 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Keep silent in the class and no any messy activity in the class during study time. Ask permission from the teacher before going out. Follow as the timetable of cleaning turn set. Speak politely in the class. Take the written form from the head teacher if anyone tends to be absent a day. Any attendee permitted or unpermitted for a week will be warned and beyond will be named out of the student list, except the reasonable and sick. 6. Tucking clothes in a good looking or in uniform. 7. Ask the teacher if any student has doubt with monthly test calculation whether acceptable or not. 8. Notebook is a must during study time. 9. Pick your schooling identity card with you every day. 10. Give the teacher your notebooks on every Friday for checking and correcting the mistake. 11. 14. Participate in the national song singers and other activities as well. 15. Prepare the class well before going out or go home. 16. Pay attention on the lesson and your teacher instruction during study time. 17. Time to study, no need to have any sweet. 18. Do your homework. 19. Punctuation! 20. Mutual tolerance and understanding between the students and students, and between the teacher and the students in the class.
