Development Brief

Overview We require 8 sets of animated icons. The background of each icon should be transparent, as they will be overlayed over background images. Each set will have a specific theme (see theme suggestions below). Each set will be comprised of 12 different but similar animated icons within the given theme, where each icon is distinguishable from the other. We require an animated wild card icon for each set which is significantly different from the 12 similar icons and can be easily identified as a wild card, yet still belongs to the theme. We also require an icon destruction animation which will be overlayed over the icons. This destruction animation should be impressive and suitable for overlay over any of the 12 icons and the wild card icon within a given theme. Each icon animation sequence should consists of somewhere between 4 and 30 frames. The individual frames require to be in .png format. Ideally as few frames as possible should be used while creating a smooth and impressive animation. The animation duration should be somewhere between 0.5 and 2.0 seconds. We also require a suitable background for each theme upon which the animated icons will be presented in a 3 x 3 grid format. Depending on the background, the background itself can be static or consist of an animation sequence up to 10 frames. The backgrounds are to be supplied in the .tif format.

Technical Details All the background images MUST follow these guidelines: Resolution 768 pixels wide X 1024 pixels high The top 250 pixels will have a score board overlayed. The bottom 100 pixels may have advertisements overlayed over them, if advertisements are available. The icons will be displayed in 3 rows of 3 icons, where the center of the columns is at 143, 389, 635 and the center of the rows is at 377, 589, 805 where the top left corner is considered 0,0. The example below should make it clear what is required.

All animations must be supplied to fit inside a 400 x 400 pixel box, ideally taking up as much of that box as possible. These animations need to be scalable, as some devices will display them as a 200 x 200 icon, 150 x 150 icon and 75 x 75 icon. It is clear that when a 400 x 400 pixel icon is scaled down to 75 x 75 pixels much of the detail is lost, but the different icons should still be distinguishable from one another.

Below is an outline of each image set, some examples of similar images found as a guide and details on the colours etc.: IMAGE SET 1 PLANETS There needs to be 12 x planets + 1 x wild planet + 1 x exploding planet. All planets need to be a similar size and each planet needs to look different, all rotating. They can be the same colour or different colours as long as you can differentiate them apart from each other. The wild planet should be gold and clearly distinguishable from the others. A single exploding sequence that is to be overlayed over the planets is required. Here are some example planet images:

IMAGE SET 2 ALIENS There needs to be 12 x Aliens + 1 x wild Alien + 1 x warped away alien. All aliens need to be a similar size and each alien needs to look different, all animated. They can be the same colour or different colours as long as you can differentiate them apart from each other. The wild alien should be clearly distinguishable from the others, eg maybe he is swinging a flag. A single warping sequence is to be overlayed over the aliens. Here are some example alien images:

IMAGE SET 3 VOLCANOS There needs to be 12 x Volcanos + 1 x wild Volcano + 1 x exploding Volcano. All Volcanos need to be the same size but each Volcano needs to look different. The wild volcano should be clearly distinguishable from the others. A single explosive eruption sequence is to be overlayed over the volcanos. Here are some example Volcano images:

IMAGE SET 4 SPACE SHIPS There needs to be 12 x Space Ships + 1 x wild Space Ship + 1 x exploding Space Ship.

All Space Ships need to be a similar size and each Space Ship needs to look different, all animated. They can be the same colour or different colours as long as you can differentiate them apart from each other. The wild Space Ship should be clearly distinguishable from the others. A single exploding sequence that is to be overlayed over the Space Ships is required. Here are some example Space Ship images:

IMAGE SET 5 - MATRIX There needs to be 12 x Matrix + 1 x wild Matrix + 1 x Successful Matrix. All Matrix need to be the same size but each Matrix needs to look different. Each animation should consist of 0s and the animation number streaming down. Ie: 0 and 1s for Animation 1, 0 and 2s for animation 2 and so on. They all are the same colour green but you can differentiate them apart from each other. The wild Matrix should have the word wild streaming. A single explosive eruption or numbers is to be overlayed over the Matrix. Here are some example Matrix images:

IMAGE SET 6 GALAXIES There needs to be 12 x Galaxies + 1 x wild Galaxy + 1 x exploding Galaxy.

All Galaxies need to be the same size but each Galaxy needs to look different. I think these should be different by colour and also shape. As long as you can differentiate them apart from each other. The wild Galaxy should be mostly a golden colour. A single exploding Galaxy sequence is to be overlayed over the Galaxies. Here are some example Galaxies images:

IMAGE SET 7 METEORS There needs to be 12 x Meteors + 1 x wild Meteor + 1 x Exploding Meteor. All Meteor animations need to be the similar size but each Meteor needs to look different. They can be different colours or shapes as long as you can differentiate them apart from each other. The wild Meteor should be easily recognised apart from the others. A single exploding meteor sequence is to be overlayed over the meteors. Here are some example Meteors images:

IMAGE SET 8 Seismic Readings There needs to be 12 x Seismic Readings + 1 x wild Seismic Reading + 1 x extremely violent Seismic Reading. All Seismic Readings need to be a similar size but each Seismic Readings needs to look different. In this case maybe via height or colour patterns . as long as you can differentiate them apart from each other. The wild Seismic Reading should be clearly distinguishable from each other.

A single extremely violent Seismic Reading sequence is to be overlayed over the others. Here are some example images:
