Project Description: The application deals with Homeowners, Condominiums, Rental s and Automobile Insurance of All State. The functionality of the application is to enable to quote or to purchase new business through Web. The application als o enables data sharing across multiple channels. The users are given access to a wide range of options relating to insurance discounts and coverage on auto and property subject availability, qualifications, situation and State of residence. The application also deals with Annuities, Mutual Funds and Life Insurance etc. Based on the quote and the State Rule from where the automobile/property is reg istered, the premium gets calculated after which a quote is finalized and when t he customer enters the credit card information, the purchase is set to complete. The system also facilitated the generation of timely reports based on the patte rn specified by the Business Users. Role & Responsibilities: Created functional and non-functional requirement documents and technical specif ication documents and delivered within project timelines by conducting user inte rviews for requirements gathering, analysis, and design. Used MS Visio to create use case diagrams, conceptual model, behavioral diagrams (sequence, collaboration, Activity). Conducted JRP and JAM sessions with the stake holders of the project for require ments analysis and timely status reporting on the project. Facilitated application development sessions and walkthroughs between technical and regulatory teams for meeting requirements as well as solving problems on a daily basis such as, but not limited to, classifying and documenting new c hange requirements, dealing with multiple product teams, researching delays, doc umenting errors and incorporating software enhancements into design documents. Interacted with system developers to resolve questions and discrepancies in Busi ness Requirement Documents Interacted with the user community to enhance understanding of the business requ irements. Worked with UML methodology to create activity diagrams and use case diagrams fo r better understanding of the user requirements. Involved in re-engineering of the application to increase performance and accura cy of the system. The project was a web-based application (portal development) involved enhancemen t of the automated Mortgage loan origination process beginning from origination/ opening a mortgage application through funding/closing. The system performs all the business functions of the loan process such as set-up Account information, N ew Loan set-up, Escrow Analysis, the Appraisal, credit, and income.
