Jan-2007 to Jan-2009, Regional Senior IT Programmer

Responsibility:

 Oracle DBA responsible for installation, backup & recovery (Exp, Imp,
RMAN), Performance tuning, users privileges, space management,
Applying update and security patches and all related Oracle administration
tasks.
 Lotus Notes local administrator. In-charge of setting up the Lotus Notes
Server in NCH Egypt. Maintenance of corporate databases residing in the
local server. Designs and maintains new databases for end-user use.
Supports Lotus Notes Email system by creating and removing email
addresses. Directly in contact with NCH IT group in Switzerland for
support on more advanced technical issues.
 IT coordinator for 3rd party services. Ensures that 3rd party contracts are
being honored and implemented accordingly. Negotiates any service
needs relating to any IT matters
 Webmaster for NCH Egypt website & NPA (Novartis Pharmacists Academy)
Designed developed and launched the internet website for Novartis

Projects:

 ETMS Application, Set-up and deploy the ETMS (Electronic Territory

Management System) for the company sales force, which include database
migration from MS Access to Oracle, installation and initialization of more
than 65 PDAs (Ipaq), and ETMS server. Project included documentation
and setting up procedures on accountabilities and liabilities on misuse and
 improper protection of company information. Using Oracle 10g, Oracle lite,
Power builder, Oracle RAC environment.
 HR Application which manages the personal information, payroll system
and incentive schema for the medical representative and the attendance
records using oracle database and VB interface.
 Regional Sales Application , analysis and develop a complete sales
application to manage the target and the sales date for North Africa &
near east region using SQL server 2000 database with OLAP Reporting
system.
 SAP GL, AP, AR, FA System Support, and develop Ad-hoc applications for
forecasting the financial date referring to sales and marketing research
data.
 Developing forecast application for sales department which using the IMS
date to forecast the next period marketing size and sales using Oracle
Forms & Reports.
