Do you need a massage? Mental Health Trivia!

The short answer is, yes, of course--you need a massage. Who doesnt? You deal with short tempers, long lines, and your dogs distemper. Were all at the receiving end of things we would rather not deal with and massage can be the valve that eases the pressure. Any massage manipulations you receive are based on spurring the bodys natural relaxation response to ease the muscle tension which will help increase movement, flexibility, and circulation. Massage therapy is useful for many conditions, in addition to relaxation and stress relief. So relax. Let go. Treat yourself to a massage! Please call Kristy Knotts, Nationally Certified Licensed Massage Therapist, to schedule your appointment at (480) 202-0872. Please stop by the Fitness Desk to pay before your appointment.

Opportunities for Resident Volunteers

Resident volunteers are the heartbeat and life support of activities at Sun City. An Administrative Committee of two currently assist our Lifestyle Director by calling identified volunteers to help with specific duties for a variety of events. You may be called upon to decorate, clean-up or serve for our less elaborate, uncomplicated events (not listed below), such as potlucks, movie nights, poolside activities and dances. These events generally require 2-4 volunteers and not much preparation. If we have enough volunteers to draw from, volunteers wont experience Volunteer Burn Out! Individuals who volunteer for a special event will meet with Lifestyle staff to brainstorm ideas, suggest activities and dcor to be featured and participate in the production of the event from start to finish. Volunteering is a great opportunity to meet new people and demonstrate your sense of pride in our community. We know your time is precious but we hope youll find a little to volunteer and support the needs of our activities and events. If you want to help make Sun City events bigger, better, more successful or wish to participate on the Administrative Committee, please email the Lifestyle staff at suncityvolunteers@gmail.com. With your help we can continue to improve our already exciting schedule of events and activities for all Sun City residents! For more information on the program and volunteer opportunities, check out www.OurSunCityAMR.net!
