It enables the printer driver to read Resource Information Files (*.DAF) generated by NetSpot Resource Downloader. Once this module is installed as an add-on to a compatible printer driver, you can use fonts and macros downloaded to the device from the printer driver by reading DAF files. This README.TXT file contains the latest information and important notes about NetSpot Resource Downloader Printer Driver Add-on Module. Please review this information before using this software. =================== System Requirements =================== NetSpot Resource Downloader Printer Driver Add-on Module has been confirmed to work in the following system environments: - OS Microsoft Windows 98 Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 + Service Pack 4 or later Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Microsoft Windows XP Professional Computer IBM PC or compatible machine Hard disk 9MB or more of free space. Protocol TCP/IP Printer Driver The printer driver must be compatible with this module. User Authority Users must have the write authority on the system folder of the client PC in order to retrieve Resource Information Files from devices. * Microsoft Windows 95 is not compatible with this module. ========================= Installation Instructions ========================= To install NetSpot Resource Downloader Printer Driver Add-on Module: 1. Execute Setup.exe. 2. Follow the instructions that are displayed to install the module in the Windows system directory of the client PC. To uninstall NetSpot Resource Downloader Printer Driver Add-on Module: 1. Execute Setup.exe again.

======================= Important Release Notes ======================= (1) NetSpot Resource Downloader Printer Driver Add-on Module cannot be used in Point-And-Print environments. (2) When downloading resources to a device, NetSpot Resource Downloader creates Resource Information Files (file extension .DAF) that describe the resources available to each client PC. DAF files are created for each device. When you want to use them, the client PC must read its DAF file for the device used from the folder in which it was saved by NetSpot Resource Downloader. (3) NetSpot Resource Downloader DAF files can be imported from the printer driver screen. This operation must be performed on each client PC. (4) NetSpot Resource Downloader Printer Driver Add-on Module can only be used with printer drivers that support this module. Please confirm the printer driver that you are using. (5) NetSpot Resource Downloader can only download Windows fonts that contain the Latin 1. Symbol fonts, and fonts created with Symbol font attributes (e.g., WingDings) cannot be downloaded. Only Latin 1 is permitted to be used in CodePage. (6) Macros that can be used with this module are limited to P5e macro files (file extension .P5e) generated by Canon printer drivers. When using this module, do not use Macro ID 0 or 1.
