Maiocco called the Twentieth Regular Meeting of the Medford City Council to order at 7:00 P.M., at the Howard F. Alden Memorial Auditorium, Medford City Hall.

MOTIONS ORDERS AND RESOLUTIONS

13-518-Offered by Councillor Lungo-Koehn Be It Resolved that the traffic commission hold their Tuesday meeting in the evening to allow for concerned City Councillors and citizens to voice their concerns and opinions regarding the "Winter Parking Ban."

13-519-Offered by Councillor Marks Be It Resolved that the City of Medford explore the use of reflective pavement markers for the purpose of identifying fire hydrant and catch basin locations in the interest of public safety.

13-520-Offered by Vice President Dello Russo City of Medford Call for Special US Senate Election Tuesday, June 25, 2013 BE IT ORDERED: that the City Clerk be and he is hereby authorized and directed to notify and warn such of the inhabitants of the City of Medford, as were qualified by law to vote for Candidates at the Special US Senate Election on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 to assemble at the polling places in their respective wards and precincts, then and there to give in their votes for: a UNITED STATES SENATOR IN CONGRESS and the polls of said Special US Senate Election shall open at 7:00 A.M. and remain open until 8:00 P.M. BE IT FURTHER ORDERED: that the following named polling places be, and they are hereby designated for use at the Special US Senate Election on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. 13-521-Offered by Councillor Marks Be It Resolved that the Trip Metro North Program offered by the Mystic Valley Elder Services be discussed on behalf of the many seniors and disabled residents of Medford who seek reliable transportation to and from appointments. 2

13-522-Offered by Councillor Penta Be It Resolved that the city Solicitor report to the council what, if any, liability issues would be evident if the City Administration allows channel 3, the non-profit public access channel to house their transmission equipment at city hall in order for them to function at 32 Riverside Ave, a non Comcast and non Verizon cable access location. 13-523-Offered by Councillor Penta Be It Resolved that since the Mayor has yet to make public his position on the proposed Everett casino and since the special election for the casino will be taking place in Everett in the ladder part of June, I request that the council president call for an immediate meeting of the council so as to state our position(s) on the issue of being a surrounding community and forward such position to the city of Everett, the proposed developer and the State Gaming Commission. If in fact such position is contrary to that of the mayor such position shall be within the City of Everett, the developer and the State Gaming Commission to ascertain Medford's position of being a surrounding community with legitimate concerns to the casino and with the knowledge that mitigation is an alternative to Medford's opposition.
