Stages of the lesson

Warm-up

teacher shows the students some flashcards and objects from the classroom. She asks: Whats this?, Describe it. The teacher gives the students handouts with a song. The teacher tells the students to look at the title of the song and she asks them: Can you tell me what is the song about? -The teacher tells the students to listen to the song and pay attention to the underlined words. -The teacher asks the students: What are the underlined words related to? The teacher tells the students that the topic of the lesson is related to clothes. The teacher writes the title of the lesson on the blackboard and she tells the students the aims of the lesson.

The teacher tells the students to listen again to the song and, in pairs, to try to fill in the blanks with the missing words. (The words are written at the end of the song) The teacher asks the students: Have you succeeded to fill in all the blanks? Lets check the exercise.

In order to explain the new words which appear in the song (the words related to clothes), the teacher gives the students a worksheet containing words related to clothes and the pictures for these words. In groups of four, students must match the words with the pictures. The teacher puts a drawing board in front of the class with the exercise.
