Getting There
The resort is 36km from the town of Trincomalee, approximately 253kms from Bandaranaike International Airport.

Accommodation
The resort features a wide range of accommodation suited to the needs of couples, families or larger groups. Spacious Deluxe rooms, poolside Chalets and stylish suites have been uniquely designed to provide comfort, privacy and luxury at affordable rates. Spacious bathrooms, oversized beds, thoughtful amenities, cable TV and Wi Fi connectivity will guarentee the modern guest stays connected and helps to ensure a comfortable stay.

Deluxe Rooms
Affordable and compact, these rooms are designed to provide high standards of privacy and comfort. Both King sized and twin bedded options are available.

Pool Chalets
Close to the beach and two swimming pools, these king bed rooms are enjoyed best by couples. A rooftop sunning area provides quiet privacy and an area to chill in the evenings. Each chalet features an outdoor shower.

The Beach Restaurant


A popular hangout by day, and a casual meeting place at night ensures our guests are able to chill out and enjoy a few drinks and freshly caught seafood cooked to your liking. Climate & Weather


Sri Lanka is tropical, with distinct dry and wet seasons. The seasons are slightly complicated by having two monsoons. The east coast welcomes the Maha monsoon which blows from October to January, bringing rain to the North and East, while the dry season is from May to September. The North and East are comparatively dry, with around 1000mm of rain annually. From May to August the Yala monsoon brings rain to the islands southwestern half, while the dry season here lasts from December to March. The southwest has the highest rainfall up to 4000mm a year. There is also an inter-monsoonal period in October and November when rain can occur in many parts of the island. Climatically speaking, the driest (and best) seasons in Sri Lanka are from April to September for the ancient cities region and the east coast and from December to March for the west coast, the south coast and the Hill Country. Average Temperature The average annual temperature in Sri Lanka ranges from 28 to 32oC. The mean temperature varies from a chilly low of 16C in Nuwara - Eliya in the Central Highlands, where even frosting might occur for several days in the winter, to a high of 32oC in Trincomalee on the Northeast Coast. The coastal areas are cooled by sea breezes year around.

Introduction
Journey across our island to Nuwara Eliya, the city of lights. Anilana Craigbank Nuwera Eliya is our most intimate retreat and promises a rare experience, pure comfort and warm service reminding us of a bygone era.With beautiful gardens and breathtaking views over the golf course, this unique colonial villa is very private and is surrounded by tea plantations.

Getting There
The retreat is 1km from the Nuwara Eliya City Center, overlooking the Golf Course and approximately 157kms from Bandaranaike International Airport. ( on A5 route)

Accomodation
A nostalgic throw back to a bygone era. Craigbanks old world charm and plantation atmosphere provides a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the style and grace of years gone by. Designed in an art deco style and filled with antiques, this wonderful retreat has a unique personality. Flat screen cable TV, reading materials and a selection of games to play on wet days provide plenty of indoor entertainment. To preserve the intimacy of our guests, we offer Anilana Craigbank Nuwara Eliya on an exclusive basis, with only one resident group at a time. Our Butlers provide personalised service and our Cook prepares family style home favourites to your taste. Four large and self contained double rooms are spacious and each uniquely designed to provide high levels of comfort with lush surroundings. The villa has a beautiful verandah, classic dining room, comfortable lounge and features spacious ensuite bathrooms for each room.

South Room
This is the spacious master bedroom which is located at the front of the bungalow with views overlooking the verandah. Featuring a spacious private dressing room, the South Room has exclusive bathroom with shower and bathtub. The room has a large sleeping area, open fireplace and a comfortable King sized bed.

East Room
Comfortable and cozy, this room is fitted with a king sized bed and antiques that are reminiscent of a bygone era. This beautiful room would best be enjoyed by a couple. A private bathroom is attached en suite.

West Room
This quiet and warm bedroom has a wonderful feel, its comfortable king sized bed guarantees a good nights sleep. Private and spacious, with en suite bathroom, the couple staying in this room will enjoy complete privacy.

North Room
Located towards the back of the bungalow with en suite bathroom, this charming room provides complete privacy. The four poster king size bed is surrounded by an interesting and eclectic collection of antiques, providing a nostalgic Plantation feeling

Dining

The retreat provides a full of breakfast inclusive of price, for up to eight occupants. Our Butlers will take your breakfast order the evening before to ensure this is prepared on time to your requirements. Chef will present lunch and dinner menus featuring local or international favourites prepared family style to your taste.

Should you prefer to bring your own ingredients, we will be happy to cook for you at no extra cost. Meal requirements and culinary preferences must be advised in advance to ensure that fresh ingredients can be purchased and prepared prior to meal times.
