Applications are invited from the eligible persons for filling up the post of Assistant Professor in the various disciplines detailed below to work in the Arts & Science Colleges functioning under the aegis of this society. One post is reserved for Person with disabilities (PWD) on Horizontal reservation ASSISTANT PROFESSOR 15 (Fifteen) PB-III Rs.15600 39100 + AGP Rs.6000/i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University. ii. Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or the Tamil Nadu-Puducherry Joint State Level Eligibility Test or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) above, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/JSLET/SET. iv. NET/JSLET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/JSLET is not conducted. Note: The good academic record means a minimum of 50% marks in each of the public examinations beginning 12th grade/standard. Not exceeding 35 years 1. Relaxable for Govt. servants upto 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government 2. Relaxable in case of OBC/SC/ST in accordance with rules

NOTE:- The no. of vacancies mentioned above are subject to variation and the society reserves the right to do so without assigning any reason therefor. 2. Mode of selection will be determined and intimated later.

The candidates are required to submit their applications as per the Proforma given below, neatly typed out in a foolscap paper and filled up in his/her own handwriting along with the copies of certificates, namely caste, category, age, statement of marks from HSC onwards, degree certificates, relevant testimonials etc. duly attested by a Gazetted officer and a Nonrefundable remittance in the form of Demand Draft drawn IN A NATIONALISED BANK in favour of the MEMBER SECRETARY, PONSHE payable at Puducherry amounting to Rs. 500/(Rupees five hundred only). Candidates claiming to belong to Scheduled caste/Scheduled tribe (Caste Certificate to be enclosed) may make a remittance amounting to Rs.250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty only) in the form of Demand Draft as detailed above. 4. Those who are in service shall submit their application through proper channel and advance copy may be submitted before the due date. 5. The crucial date for determining the age limit will be 30.04.2013.
