Product Information Classic Line Surround Processor 087

The Surround Processor 087 is the latest multi-channel component from the Burmester manufacture. Large amounts of technical expertise that have been gained during the development of its brothers, the 007 and the 057, have proven advantageous for the 087 as well. The conceptual aim of all Burmester surround processors is to raise sound quality in the field of multi-channel to the highest level. The Surround Processor is fully DC-coupled and is equipped with balanced amplification stages. It supports 5.1 standards and has an automatic delay adjustment between picture and sound, implemented by the LipSync-Delay function. The 087 is constructed symmetrically, a characteristic feature of Burmester equipment. The phase relation of the balanced outputs is reversible. The dynamic range of the 087 is adjustable in three steps. It goes without saying, that Dolby Digital, DTS Digital Surround Neo:6TM and Pro Logic II belong to the standard configuration of the Surround Processor 087. Despite the complex features of the 087 Surround Processors, its functionality is held logically, so that the operation is self-explanatory. Dispensable controls and functions have been left out deliberately. Individual setup configurations of the system are storable in four memory settings, which allow immediate access.
