Few days ago a bullet from the blue came that former army chief and president of Pakistan

has been taken into custody. Reasons behind his arrest were his conduct with judiciary an important piler of state. Since her birth in 1947 Pakistan has been governed either by army dictators or elected personnels through ordinary course of elections. Confrontation and opposition to each other's dimensions for the country remained mere similarities between these two forms of government. However it is an admitted fact that socio economic indicators remained positive throughout army's regime. On the other hand so-called elected governments seems notorious for their noteworthy corruptions, nepotism and power abuse. In 1999 Nawaz Sharif blessed Musharaf with an out of turn promotion. Nawaz was prime-minister of Pakistan at that time and he appointed Musharaf as army chief. Later on Musharaf intervened in govrment's business on the basis of Nawaz's involvement in hijacking of the plane carrying Pak Army's chief along with several civilians on board. Another army regime started in Pakistan when Nawaz Sharif was taken behind the bars. Deportee of Nawaz Sharif to Saudi Arabia after signing an agreement with Musharaf saved Nawaz from further interrogations. Musharaf's regime is famous for economic and social growth. Foreign direct investments were at climax. Pakistan got rid of worldly financial institutions. I witnessed revolutionary transitions in all fields. Remarkable growth of infrastructure and telecommunications was reported. Electronic media and especially birth of several news channels brought media to a pivotal place for stable Pakistan. During Musharaf's establishment educational reforms like free education, new universities and cadet colleges brought a significant boost in literacy rate. Higher education commission of Pakistan awarded hundreds of scholarships and sent pupils abroad for completion of their studies. Media and education blessed Pakistanis with awareness. Merely this awareness is becoming a hurdle for dirty games of politicians. Here how I can neglect ambulance service introduced in his era and I am still thankful for the response in a couple of minutes after my accident. Today when I have been left in lurch by conduct of judiciary with Musharaf if I defend him, I will listen three main allegations on his part from his opponents. Laal Masjid and army action is considered his crime. May I ask how constitution of Pakistan which has been formulated mainly in the light of islam treat such elements who challenge writ of the state? How students of a mosque can snatch weapons from a petrol? how they can kill ranger's officer? Taliban's are doing the same today and our military is fighting against them. Number of other evidences proved that terrorist elements were there inside the mosques and that was the reason resistance from the mosques was not the one without arms and ammunition. I would proceed to other allegations with this saying of Muhammad(P.B.U.H) in Sahi Muslim, there will be after me leaders who do not follow my guidance and do not follow my sunna, and there will be among them men whose hearts are like those of satan in the body of a human being. And I asked the Prophet (P.B.U.H), What I should do at that time if I reach it? He said, listen and obey the ruler, even if he lashed your back and took your money, listen and obey'. Issues of missing persons brought lots of criticism for Musharaf especially when he wrote in his book about dollars he received for the country and handed over few wanted terrorists to US. Now logically one that much serious about thee people, why a proper enquiry is not being done up till now? Why people of Pakistan are not being told the results? Why former democratic government and efficient democratic judiciary could not find a clue for those personnels? Today Musharaf is there, intelligentsia and law enforcement agencies are there but still no clue just slogans. Participation in war against terrorism is considered another blunder of Musharaf. In my point of view this war is absolutely fake. For instance if I consider it real then Musharaf was right in his decision. Instead of fighting against a stronger force he saved the nation. Religious sympathy should be in our hearts for other Muslims but it should be in theirs as well. After her birth why Afghanistan denied our existence in United Nations? As I think this war was not less than a drama and it was better to be a part of it. At least our nation was better off . Later on internal situations of Pakistan started to deteriorate but war against terrorism is not the mere reason for it. Hundreds of criminals are being arrested but not even a single decision has been made against

them. Lack of strong implementation of law is the main reasons behind our internal issues. Law enforcement agencies are securing VIPs there and army is fighting against Talibans. Judiciary is busy with personal cases instead of the ones related to public. A rational and realistic analysis tells me that Musharaf was good at least for the poor in Pakistan. Aversion among the people for him can not be denied but it is being amplified. Now the judge who ordered his arrest seems biased. Respectable judge was a lawyer contesting and defending Laal Masjid. He contested election over the ticket of a religious party in the past. Not only this after crystal clear evidences Musharaf ordered military punishment for this judge's younger brother. At least I am unable to build a hope of fair trial. With all this I am not asking for an above board treatment for Musharaf, investigation must be done for his NRO's decision, because he was not allowed to safeguard corruptions of the politicians. Justice should be done and it should be for every one without any discrimination. Stable Pakistan is crucial for the stability of the world. Majority of Pakistanis ar the poor and they need bread and butter more than any form of government. Long live Pakistan
