Prime Heros

.....Prime Heroes are the super-high powered heroes of modern-day comics, the gods and demigods (Thor, Hercules, and Mephisto), the cosmic beings (Silver Surfer, the original Captain Marvel, Green Lantern, etc.), the supernatural warriors of modern horror-comics (Ghost Rider, the Spectre, Spawn), and even those of other origins (Superman and Apocalypse). They are the powerful heroes and villians who have the power to either save the world.....or destroy it. Prime Heroes have incredable powers and their use within a campaign should be heavily considered before allowing them in. Like the Mega-Heroes, the Prime Heroes are a powerful addition to any campaign and their inclusion could lead to a severly unballanced game. It is recommended that they be used only if being surrounded by equally high-powered characters such as Mega-Heroes, Master Psychics, some of the stronger Mutants, Dragons, Cosmo-Knights, and the like. Ultimately, the finnal decision is left up to the GM as to whether he/she wishes to include them in his campaign or not. .....There are only four classifications of Heroes that Prime Heroes can be, they are Alien, Mutant, Mystic Study, and Mystically Bestowed. All other Hero types, including the Experimants and Physical Training, are not options for the Prime Hero. Once it is decided what type of character the Prime Hero is going to be, whether it's Alien, Mutant, or Mystically Bestowed, roll the character as you would a normal character of that class. All attributes, S.D.C., and Skills are rolled normally, as is extra things such as Planet of Origin, Cause of Mutation, Unusual Characteristics, etc. The only thing that they don't roll is their Super Abilities, because those are special considerations that are taken into account below. Each catagory, the Alien, Mutant, Mystic Study, and Mystically Bestowed powers all have their different tables to roll on, and they all have their own special quirks that make them stand out from all the rest.

Powers Common to all Prime Heroes

.....No matter what classification the Prime Hero is, they do have certain powers that are common to all Prime Hero catagories: 1. Enhanced Attributes: Add 1D6 to P.S., P.E., M.E., and I.Q. Also, speed in all forms is doubled (this includes flight powers gained through super powers). 2. Supernatural Strength: Like the Mega-Heroes, no matter what the Hero's strength is, whether it is 6 or 60, it will always be considered supernatural. 3. Supernatural Endurance: Also, like the Mega-Heroes, the Prime Heroes are considered supernatural creatures, meaning that their S.D.C. is tripled while their hit points are doubled (this also means that in a Rifts setting, the Prime Heroes will be Mega-Damage structures). 4. Enhanced Saving Throws: Prime Heroes recieve a +3 to save vs. horror factor, +2 to save vs. magic and psionics (unless that is one of their weaknesses, see below), and +4 to save vs. all poisons/toxins/drugs. 5. Enhanced Healing: The Prime Hero can bio-regenerate 3D4 S.D.C./Hit Points every minute.

6. Range and Duration of all super powers is doubled. 7. Additionally, the Prime Hero gets to roll twice on the Special Mega-Powers table on page 181 of Heros Unlimitied 2nd edition. However, they must roll three times on the Achilles' Heel table (think about it, even Superman had more vulnerablilities than just Kryptonite, there was magic and, to some extent, he was solar powered). 8. Super Powers (Aliens and Mutants): Next, instead of the Super Powers table in HU 2nd ed., use the following table for power determination for the Alien and Mutant characters only, the Mystic Study and Mystically Bestowed characters have their own tables and their own certain considerations. 01-15 Select one APS power and one major power along with five minor powers. 16-30 Invulnerablity and one energy expulsion power along with one other major power and three minor powers. 31-45 Control Darkness and Night Stalking along with four minor powers. 46-60 One Control Elemental Force power along with six minor powers! 61-75 Take one major power, one super psionic power and take four minor powers and/or psionic powers from the lesser catagories (may mix and match psionics and super powers). 76-90 Eight minor super powers! 91-00 Three major powers and one minor power! 9. Super Powers for the Mystically Bestowed Characters: 01-20 Cosmicly Enchanced Beings: These are the super heros that have been given their powers by a greater power in the cosmos, one that goes beyond our understanding. Examples of this type of character would include the Silver Surfer, the Green Lantern, Captain Marvel, and the Cosmo-Knights. Powers include one Super-Energy Expulsion Power, Sonic Flight, one more major power and two minor powers. 21-40 Divine by Birth: These are the gods and demi-gods of the comic books, being such as Thor, Hercules, even the likes of Thanos and Darksied can fall into this catagory. Powers include Invulnerablity, two heightened sense of choice (including all the different visions), and one more major power and two minor powers. 41-60 Possessing Entity: With this type of Mystically Bestowed power, the character is sharing his body with some type of supernatural entity, such as a ghost or spirit. It is not a strong enough entity to be a supernatural intelligence or the like, and it cannot force the character to do something that he would normally do against his ethics and beliefs (i.e. alignment). Also, the character must go through a physical transformation to utilize the entities powers. The Ghost Rider would be an excellent example of this type of character. For all intents and purposes, there are two seperate personalities within one body, booth can see what the other is doing at all times, but whether he realizes it or not, the character whose body the spirit is inhabiting is in control at all times. Powers include one APS power and two more major and two minor power. 61-80 Back From the Dead: These characters were dead at one point in there exsistance, and for whatever reason, some thing has brought them back to life. The reason why? It's

anybody's guess, the character may not even know who or what it is that brought him back, all he knows is, is that he is back, for better or for worse. Consiquently, all characters of this type automatically have the Special Mega-Power of Undead (so they roll only once on the Special Mega-Power table). Spawn (oops, I might get sued for saying that) is a prime example of an Undead Prime Hero. Characters like this have two choices for their powers: 1. Invulnerablity and Intangibility in addition to three minor super powers. 2. One major super power and six magic spells selected from levels 1-6. The character can choose one spell with every new level as long as the spell level does not exceed his own level of experiance. 81-00 Force of Nature: This character, while not a full-blown god, is a natural manifestation of some type of force within the Megaverse. Whether it is darkness, justice, war, death, life, or fire, the character is a supernatural occurance that has never, and will never, lead a normal mortal life. The details of what he character looks like are left entirely up to the character and G.M. The Spectre, the Living Tribunal, and Eternity are all examples of this type of character. The character has two major power and three minor powers, however it is suggested that the character be allowed to choose his powers instead of rolling randomly because they all must have a certain focus towards one theme. For example, if the character were a Lord of Darkness, he might choose Darkness Control and Invisibility as his major powers and Nightstalking, Supervision: Infrared & Ultraviolet, and Horror Factor as his powers. However, if he were a creature of life, he might choose Divine Healing (from Rifter #1, a great power that I still use despight the fact it was left out of HU 2nd), Force Aura, Energy Resistance, Healing Factor, and Impervious to Fire and Heat. Whatever aspect of reality the character represents, his powers should all reflect it. 10. Enhanced Abilities of the Mystic Study Prime Hero .....The Mystic Study Prime Hero becomes a living juggernaut of magical energies. He sees his initial P.P.E. increased by 50% and as well as the P.P.E. increases he recieves every level after first. In addition, his spell strength is increased +2 and he recieves Energy Expulsion: Energy. From him, Energy Expulsion: Energy is considered a magical attack but does not draw on his P.P.E. reserves. In addition he recieves a +3 to save vs. magic and possession and a +1 to save vs. psionics.

Mega-Heroes, Prime Heroes, and Experiance

.....When using Prime Heros, they should use the same experiance table as the Mega-Heros. However, the Mega-Heros themselves should use the experiance tables of the Blhaze Aliens from Rifts Dimension Book Four: Skraypers. .
