(Accelerating Camp Transformation)

The following programs are based on Systems Thinking Management. System thinking creates synergy. It looks at the ministry as a unified whole composed of interacting and interrelated subsystems. It operates on the following assumptions: that too much emphasis on one subsystem reduces energy and units become productive together than separately and that optimizing the parts (camps) will optimize the whole. We identify the whole to explain the parts only as they relate to the whole.

NATIONAL PROGRAMS Towards A.C.T.

# 1: METRO BLITZ
The program starts off with a New Member Plan (or an AMD). A month after, a minimum of 15 church services will be targeted for 2 consecutive Sundays. Local Gideons can cover the first Sunday while the second Sunday can be conducted on the Blitz period to allow other members from different camps to participate. The 5-Day Metro Scripture Blitz will be conducted in the months of June, July, October & November by the different State Associations annually. The National Cabinet will appoint a Metro Blitz Project Coordinator (State Scripture Coordinator) and an Assistant Coordinator (Regional Program Leader) from the host state who will spearhead the distribution. As a guideline, the region to host the Metro Blitz should not be the State Convention host. The minimum goal will be set by the State. The themes are designed to remind Gideons that we are stewards of God's Word and therefore have an obligation to spread His Word. The Blitz is capped by an Annual Pastors Event Dinner where Gideons may also invite guests (friends of Gideons). The suggested minimum faith fund goal is Php 500,000.00. Speaker for such event must be a National figure. Where is the kingdom? Wherever God reigns. Where marketplace Christians plumb, sew, and build for God's glory, there is God's kingdom. The State Convention venue where believers (Gideons and Auxiliary from different camps) will spend three days of their productive energies is of great significance for the accomplishment of God's purposes in that community, for it represents yet another occasion for the in-breaking of the Kingdom of God through the distribution of His Word. The Pre State Convention Blitz a day prior to the State Convention is designed to take advantage of the opportunity that God has placed in front of us to do a vital kingdom work through Scripture distribution in the community. With a minimum goal of 30,000 testaments, this program will create an impact in the community and energize the convention.

#4: NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION (NMO)

Educating new members about The Gideons membership contributes to long-term retention of new members. The camp's new member orientation DVD should provide a broad overview of The Gideons International with a focus of the five (5) core programs of membership in the camp, including an overview of Vision 2020.

#5: A CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR JESUS

No Zero Performance is a way of thinking and doing that reinforces the notion that zeroes are not acceptable, and that everyone should engage 100% of its members involved. The question that often comes up when no zero performance is discussed, is whether ornot the no zero performance is ever attainable. Essentially, does adopting a no zero performance only set leaders up for failure? No Zero performance is NOT about being perfect. No Zero Performance is about changing our perspective. It does this by demanding that you: ? Recognize the effect of zero performing camps versus our mission ? Continuously think of the place where flaws may be introduce. ? Work proactivel to address the flaws in our approach and procedures, which allow zero performing camps to occur. No Zero Performance is a standard. It is a measure against which any system, process, action, or outcome can be analyzed. When no zero performance is the goal, every aspect of the ministry is subject to scrutiny in items of whether it measures up.

#3: BIBLE CARAVAN RELAY (BCR)

National Bible Week is a yearly national celebration empowered by Proclamation No. 44 by President Corazon C. Aquino and by Proclamation No. 1067 by President Fidel V. Ramos, both edicts recognize the important role by the reading and study of the Bible in molding the moral fiber of our citizenry and encourage every Filipino to do so daily. The Bible Week will be celebrated through a nationwide distribution of testaments by every camp Relay style. A relay distribution will allow us to cover the entire Philippines with every camp of each State participating. The goal is to flood the four major islands by scriptures beginning Sunday with an Area Wide Witness in Action and ending Sunday with church presentations. The goal for the distribution will be set by the National Cabinet prior to Bible Week (last week of January). The sequence of distribution will be as follows:

#2: THE PRE STATE CONVENTION BLITZ

In the Gospel of Mark Jesus establishes that the kingdom of God is coming, that the kingdom of God is almost realized, and that the kingdom of God is present. While the kingdom of God will be fully realized with Jesus' second coming, it is already present in His first coming so that wherever Jesus by the power and presence of the Holy Spirit is present in his people, the kingdom of God is already realized.
